To put it simply, yes. We are 🌌, but, I am not asking for forgiveness. Hell, thats the last thing I want.

I know its been long, almost everyone here doesnt even know who you are anymore, I'm probably 1 of 5 out of a few hundred that have any memory of you, and it has been tearing me apart wondering how you have been.

As for us, we have been going to therapy, starting to take medication, and are in the process of getting a diagnosis for several things, namely NPD, BPD, and DID.

We havent had any incident as major as what we did to both you and your partner.

Bit of a thing to process.

This is the mattress I’ve lived with since I was six. I was a bed wetter until I was ten and only found out a few months ago covers for these things existed (it also survived my delirium of undiagnosed schizophrenia and so theres scribbles on it)

Gross, right? I didn’t even know this was a problem until I showed my partner a few months ago

I’ve never owned a box spring, our family (minus the literal one with the money, our dad) has slacks, which are supposed to be thin wooden boards.

Well, my slacks kept moving and falling, so my dad decided to drill thicker boards into the base for my slacks

Some of them are tilted up instead of straight and flat.

Over the last few years, I’ve had severe back pain that makes me have trouble walking long distances. I found out a few months that around a year ago my ribs became inflamed, I was offered medication but my aunt denied this prescription medication because “Tylenol works the same.” Recently it’s become so had that my muscles constantly ache, and my spine and shoulders pop at small turns. I already started popping my back and neck every few hours which sometimes left my muscles aching. At one point I had a pinched nerve from the frequent popping

Recently I worked up the courage to text my dad, asking for an air mattress. I remember sleeping on them after the major flood in my area (that happened right before I got this mattress, in 2016) and between visitations on my mom’s side. He sent these texts. (Scratched out is my deadname)

I have no idea what could possibly be more important except the loan he’s paying off, which makes sense but we’ve had these beds since my 13 year old brother was just out of diapers

My mom recently came to visit again, she decided to come to our house this time. I decided to specifically point out my bed to her, asking her to sit and lay on it like I did with my aunt (who said I needed a new bed but has done nothing about it) She asked my brothers if their beds hurt them too, but they said no. Whether thats true or not is beyond me

My mom was pretty upset about this, but didn’t want to start a fight during her two day visit. She told me she was going to buy me a new mattress or at least something to buffer it. I thanked her, but told her despite my own health it wasn’t necessary due to their financial situation and the big ugly bill cutting funding for my half brother’s special needs education and she should focus on that first.

Today my mom texted me and sent me a link to a mattress. It looked absolutely amazing, she told me to read the description. It had cooling, a cover with a zipper built in to wash it if needed, and with my mom’s special touch of her spiritual beliefs, it’s infused with green tea and charcoal. (I feel like this will make me feel closer to her, I like that)

I was- well, surprised, obviously- and I liked this mattress, but the price was almost 300 USD. I was going to text her that she didn’t have to, but by that time she sent me a message saying she had just bought it and it’d be here before school started the next month in august, in fact it’ll be here in 9 days. She also told me to look at the site again and I saw it also cost 40 USD a month, unsure for how long though as it doesn’t specify

How do process this? It hasn’t set in fully yet, but I don’t know whether to feel guilty or excited, or both. I know my mom doesn’t want me to feel bad or hurt, but part of me is worried, I can’t put why into words besides it being my moms financial situation
