ADHD is so debilitating and it isn’t talked about enough. Imagine your body doesn’t produce enough of the most essential neurotransmitter. You are constantly seeking this neurotransmitter through any way possible, and it’s why you get addicted to doing things or focusing so heavily on something you forget to meet every single basic need.

You sit there and question what the fuck is wrong with you because it was so easy to study yet you just didn’t do it. It was so easy to do the things you stopped doing but you literally can’t do them.

Like wtf do you fucking mean I was born with a chemical imbalance that makes me incapable of getting up??? Wtf do you mean I have to take stimulants to counteract crippling ADHD symptoms, and then those stimulants actually just make me like everyone else????

being plural means smiling and laughing at a joke one of your headmates made, or having witty banter with them as you make a meal that you'll both be able to enjoy

being plural means a headmate going "its okay, you don't have to do this, i can do it" and you thanking them because yeah, you cant do that, and thats okay

being plural means thinking about your headmates when buying new clothes, or seeing a shirt or pair of pants for sale and going "they'd love that !!"

being plural means making one of your headmate's simplyplural profile, and spending lots of time perfecting it so that it fits them to a T

being plural means knowing you aren't alone

being plural means knowing that your headmates, your friends, your family, are always there for you

it went fine.. but.. it also really sucked

long story short

I'm not okay

and putting it on paper made it very clear that i am so much less than okay

we need a THIRD appointment to finish things off

after already spending an extra three hours working on stuff

so 7 whole hours wasn't even enough

idk if i already mentioned this but we're now recognized by three mental health professionals as being a system

we do not have a diagnosis, though we do now have a testing date for personality disorders, and will be getting connected to find someone who specializes in dissociative disorders

but hey three people, one of which barely knows us, recognized it and was responsive to us talking about it and even asked for a list of names and such

so... that's pretty awesome
