never made a single post on this tumblr blog for years, but this warrants a full-blown rant. tumblr is having the worst fall off ever. not just with its features but with its users. I've been reading fics on here since 4ever like most people are and I can say this as a full proof fact, the content is getting worse and worse and people are writing fics with taboo topics as a way to "cope". as someone who has certain traumas, reading about them glorified made me worse. I'm not one to judge but these fics are seriously getting out of hand. inc3st is NOT CUTE, noncon is NOT OKAY (writing dubcon doesn't make it different either). I'm saying this as a P.S.A to anyone who might be reading these fics or falling deeper into an endless tumblr pit, genuinely save yourself, you're better than the things you read. I'm truly over this and I'll most likely be logging off cause I'm tired of feeling like I need to read and like this stuff. and the fact that it's all smut is driving me insane. there's no more fluff and this platform is horrible for people's mental health. I know people agree with me and I also know people will hate this post, but I needed to say it. read books instead, at least they're screened beforehand, and you get a choice since it's more of a commitment and not just a 2 min scroll. (and the whole twitter links thing is another story, people have a p0rn addiction but would rather defend it than admit it - the fact that those posts are "Top" posts on certain hashtags is insane.)
