This episode was great, really made me interested in learning about both LOTR and WOW. Plus the fight itself really sold to me just how much these two aren't men, but full-on forces of nature. An amazing episode that I'd give a 9/10.
As for the next time with Deku vs Asta, it isn't what I expected for either, but idc, I'm still excited for the fight.
why are my two favorite tropes "seemingly powerful and dominating guy turns out to be kind of pathetic" and "silly goofball of a man turns out to be terrifyingly powerful"
The fact that Multiversus is a real thing is still mind-boggling to me even months later. Genuinely, the idea of Lebron James teaming up with Ultra Instinct Shaggy against the team of Superman and Iron Giant while fighting on the Adventure Time treehouse sounds like something out of a fever dream, not from an actual game.
It's so dumb, but it's the best kind of dumb. Can't wait for more content in the future.
It feels weird that for a metal band as popular as Disturbed, they don't really used their mascot a whole lot.
Like, with Iron Maiden, they post Eddie's head fucking everywhere. Album covers, music videos, comic books, video games, hell, he even appears at live concerts. Wherever Eddie the Head can fit, Iron Maiden will always shove him in.
But The Guy? He's soooo underutilised. He's been on album covers, sure, but besides that, he's only been in 2 music videos (Land of Confusion, which was excellently animated by Todd fucking McFarlane, and The Vengeful One, which is a good song partnered with a SBIG video), 1 comic series, and a video game crossover with Iron Maiden.
Isn't the point of a mascot to be everywhere? So answer me this Disturbed, why the fuck isn't he everywhere?
Because I am bored, I'm just gonna share one of my favourite Death Battle ideas.
The Thing vs Tomie Kawakami (Universal vs Junji Ito)
A battle between two sadistic monsters with a human-like appearance, both able to eat humans in order to increase their own strength, and both transforming into horrific forms in order to do so.
I love this idea because of how truly horrific it could get. And if you've watched The Thing and/or read a Junji Ito manga, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
This has been Death Battle ideas with Aussie. I'll see you later.
It was good. The analysis for both was well done, and the fight was great. And Ego Death is a great track, just like the rest of the bangers to come out this season. 8.5/10.
As for Hercules vs Sun Wukong, to say that I am hyped for it would be an understatement.
Since my last post (linked here) got enough likes/reblogs to make me happy, I’m gonna do a thing where I talk about the playstyles, gimmicks, and summaries of the characters on the roster, one row at a time super-basically. This will most certainly be infrequently posted due to several personal factors (school/laziness/possible lack of motivation), but whatever. Also I will call this concept “Cookie Run: Clash” now, because it was my idea, so I can choose the name.
And here we go with the 1st row:
GingerBrave: He’d be the Ryu or the Terry of the roster; the basic, beginner-friendly all-rounder character, with nothing too good, but also no real major flaws aside from a lack of long-ranged attacks.
Strawberry Cookie: She’d be what I call a ‘mini-tank,’ or a character who’s too strong to be an all-rounder like GB, but is also too weak to be a full-on tank. Good damage with knockback on some of her attacks, but is slightly-below average in speed.
Wizard Cookie: He’d be one of the roster’s main zoners, with quick lightning attacks that have great speed and range. However, he’d also be a rather fragile character, but not as fragile as some other characters we’ll get to later, and he doesn’t really have any close-range options outside of his basic attacks.
Chili Pepper Cookie: She’d be the opposite of Wizard Cookie playstyle-wise; a quick-moving rushdown character focused on getting as close to and attacking the opponent quickly. Attacks quickly, but is disadvantaged against grapplers and tanks.
Twizzly Gummy Cookie: You’d think she’d be a zoner with that big minigun she carries, but NOPE! She would be a summon character, calling in the rest of her gang to help her out while fighting. She only really uses the minigun for special attacks, but she becomes stationary while using it, and so, her general playstyle is harder for beginners and intermediates.
Gumball Cookie: This is the next zoner, with slow but strong, lobbing projectiles that leave gum piles on the ground. These piles slow down anyone who steps in them, including Gumball Cookie, but the slowing effect also applies to characters hit by the gumballs. And as stated, his projectiles lob and affect him, but he’s much less fragile than Wizard Cookie.
Latte Cookie: A mixed zoner/trapper. Can use magical projectiles from a decent distance, but can also place her glyphs on the ground as traps for unsuspecting opponents. Rather quick, with tricky moves for opponents to recognize, but is rather lacking in health and repeated trapping can make yourself predictable.
Almond Cookie: Another rushdown character, but a somewhat-slow one. He compensates for his slow movement by keeping enemies stationary with his handcuffs, which only last for a couple seconds, so hurry with them. Besides that, he has good damage and a couple command grabs, but is also light and can be knocked back easily.
Part 1 of 4. Part 2 will be posted eventually with the next row of 8.
