Hi.

So.

Uh.

Life has happened. A lot. Like, a lot a lot.

I kind of fell into a different fandom. I divorced in May last year. I walked in my first Pride parade in July. I went to Slovenia on my first proper solo trip just days after that. I ran every day for a year. I bought the apartment that had been a shared home for ten years and have been slowly growing accustomed to it being mine (and the cat's). I was let go from my job in December. I was kept on through an extension that would keep me on until August and then ultimately rehired in May. I have two new tattoos. I graduated with an MBA today. I have cried (a lot). I have laughed (hopefully more).

I have no idea what will happen next.

And I think that's okay.

I have always been curious about this but if you’ve already answered this then so sorry! But for the Sweet Dreams fics did you come up with the recipes yourself? If so how because they are god tiered and if not where can we find the person who made them so I can try more recipes by them? Thanks!!

The answer to this is both yes and no. I came up with the flavour combinations, however I used base recipes that I have jotted down in my recipe book for separate parts. So, for example the cake bases exist as separate recipes, the buttercream is a separate recipe and so on. Some parts I just winged together, like the raspberry filling for the Rasp-utin cupcakes, and toppings/decorations were almost always a "what will look good"-kind of process.

First of all,

Thank you for checking in with me. These past two weeks especially have been a lot and not in the best way. I'll be okay. Eventually. I have to believe I will.

So second of all,

To balance out the air of hopelessness and anxiety. I was on the phone with my supervisor today. At the end of the call she tells me she'll see me Monday. I say no, because I have next week off for thesis writing.

"Oh, that's right, that's next week. Well then, good luck with writing. Please, remember to eat."

It was such a small thing. But by god, it made a difference.

HR Director: so, how are things with you, how is the thesis going?

Me, slightly panicking: oh, you know, fine!! So much info, so little time! I actually have next week off to write and I'm going to work on it more efficiently and hopefully have a first draft of the survey to send to you and the board for approval!

I did not mention the fact that I have been battling what I can only describe as executive dysfunction and that it feels like my life has been slowly falling to pieces since September last year, or that I've been trying not to cry all day today. Didn't feel pertinent to the situation or the question. Because everything is fine. Always. And if it's not fine, it will be fine. When I have more time for it.
