Prompt: An Original Character as the sister of the ASL brothers.

Now that she reunited with Ace and Ace become a member of the Whitebeard Pirates. Time for her to continue her plan and reunite with Luffy next.

Eventually, she met up with Luffy in Alabasta alongside Ace, and what better way to bond than by joining the Straw Hat Pirates? Adventure, ho!

Cue adventure. Hey Ho!

After the two-year time skip, she finally ditched the mask she used to wear to hide her identity and stood proudly beside her crewmates, ready to face the world head-on.

Presenting: The ASL brothers + my OC's headwears! Ah, I absolutely adore this one. The symbolism of their ages is perfectly captured in these hats, and don't even get me started on the flowers—I swear, they're the perfect match for each of them. Who knew I could even put symbolism in my artworks? Definitely not me.

Oh, and here's an extra fun tidbit! The famous Wine Flower from my OC's home island, the one that basically explains why her island was ransacked by alcohol-loving pirates. This flower is so closely tied to her island that it's basically the unofficial mascot of their boozy lifestyle. Cheers to that!

(Part 1/2)

Once again, I had the brilliant idea to start a fanfiction.

Prompt: An Original Character as the sister of the ASL brothers.

I was hyped, motivated, and ready to write the greatest thing since sliced bread... until my ADHD brain pulled its usual stunt and left me with absolutely nothing. Classic.

But hey, silver lining! I ended up with a bunch of cool art from this idea. (Don't mind the quality; I lost the original files, so here's a blurry screenshot that's trying its best.)

Background: Meet my OC, a kid who accidentally ate the Zoan-type Devil Fruit: Kitsune model. It was all fun and games until her home island got raided by pirates. Refusing to return to her human form (because who doesn't want to be a unique-colored fox?), she got caught and became a noble's pet. Yes, a literal pet. Yikes.

After a year of captivity and probably way too many belly rubs she didn't ask for, she escaped and met the ASL brothers. Cue the chaos.

Despite all the trauma—losing her family, her home island and a year as a glorified house ornament—she found herself loving these rowdy boys. She became their sister, younger than Ace and Sabo but older than Luffy. 

And just when things were starting to look up... the trash heap of the Goa Kingdom caught fire, and guess what? She got caught again and was gifted to a Celestial Dragon. (Someone, please give this girl a break.)

Fast forward a few years under the absolute worst creature imaginable, she escaped (finally!) and ended up with the Whitebeard Pirates. Here, she slowly healed and decided to channel her trauma into becoming a badass fighter. 

Inspired by Whitebeard himself, she picked up a naginata and got herself a massive tattoo to cover her slave mark. Oh, and she became skilled in both Observation and Armament Haki because why not?

Now 19 years old and done hiding, she decided it was time to reunite with her brothers. She left the Whitebeard Pirates with all the confidence in the world—unaware that Ace was about to meet Whitebeard just two months later.

When the Whitebeard Pirates called her to say, "Hey, guess who just joined us?" she rushed back and had a teary reunion with Ace. It was a beautiful moment... until she found out about Sabo's "death." Cue emotional devastation.

Fun Fact: When she's really agitated in her animal form, her white fur turns red. (No, I didn't color it in the pic on the left because I forgot it like a normal sleep deprived being. Don't @ me. It wasn't even finished at all. ahahahhahaha)

Since my legendary procrastination skills ruined my chances at the costume competition, I changed to Plan B: the fanart contest.

At first, I thought about submitting my "Harajuku Miku" piece as my final entry. But then I looked at it and went, "Meh, this isn't giving 'that it' vibes," so I scrapped it and started fresh.

Enter Hatake Kakashi in Visual Kei fashion. Yes, you read that right. Muahahaha, I shamelessly used this contest as an excuse to draw a hot man in edgy outfits. No regrets.

I redrew it on paper for submission, poured my heart into it, and ended up with something I was actually proud of. BUT—plot twist—I couldn't even attend the convention because academic responsibilities came knocking. ARGHHH! At that moment, I was convinced I was cursed by bad luck.

Moral of the story: Procrastinate less, but never stop drawing hot men.

Here we go again—another sketch for an outfit I planned to wear for a competition, this time themed around Harajuku Fashion. I decided to go all out with a punk-inspired look for Hatsune Miku because, why not?

Once again, the sketch looked amazing. But knowing how reality loves to ruin my dreams, I kept my expectations nice and low this time.

This was supposed to be my final fit. I had half a year to sew it—plenty of time, right? WRONG. I procrastinated so hard that by the time the competition month rolled around, I hadn't even threaded a needle. Classic me.

In the end, I ditched the sewing idea entirely and signed up for the art contest instead. Same theme, different medium, way less stress. Work smarter, not harder, am I right?

For Spring Festival 2024, I had a brilliant idea: join the costume competition and design an outfit to steal the show. Naturally, I whipped up some art for the look I planned to make, and let me tell you, it was giving main character energy.

I'm a sucker for purple/violet, so the outfit was all shades of royalty. But then came the sewing part. And, oh boy, reality hit me like an isekai truck. The top was so complicated it might as well have been a Rubik's cube. And let's be real, I wasn't about to do that much unpaid labor.

So, I did what any sane person would do—I simplified it to a tube top. Boom, problem solved! Honestly, I was thriving with this new version. It was so pretty in the drawing, but once I made it... yeah, reality decided to humble me real quick, ahahahaha.

The final product? Oh, it was a masterpiece of chaos. It was so different from the original concept that even I had to laugh. But hey, guess who walked away with third place out of 8 contestants? That's right—this creative genius! Give me a round of applause, yes, yes ,yezzz!!!

Dear fanfic writers, your need to get VALIDATION for your creativity is VALID

Look, there is no gun to our heads and no one is making us put our blood, sweat and tears into these stories we're writing. But look at it this way, we're human too and everyone likes to get compliments.

Writing for self enjoyment is the goal but don't feel bad for craving more support, hits, kudos, comments, etc. Just because it's fanfiction doesn't mean it's less mentally stressful to do, and it sure doesn't make the stories mean less to us as writers.

Our work is rich and awesome too and we deserve a good pat on the back for it. We deserve to get acknowledgement and credit for it🤝

Like many others, I tumbled headfirst into the "Villainess" female lead fandom from Korean and Chinese novels/manhwa/manhua. Naturally, I decided to try my hand at creating my own villainess character because, well, why not?

April 2023: I whipped up a rough sketch that I thought looked decent enough. But after a while, I got tired of staring at it. It just wasn’t vibing the way I wanted, so I did what any self-respecting artist does—I abandoned it. Classic move.

Fast forward to June 2024: Bored out of my mind during a seminar (because nothing screams "creative inspiration" like a long-winded speech), I decided to resurrect the poor sketch. Armed with newfound boredom-fueled determination, I refined it into clean line art. Was it better? Sure. Did I feel like I did something great? Not really.

The final output: I went all in and colored it... and immediately questioned all my life choices. My coloring skills? Still on life support. But hey, at least my villainess character looks fabulous enough to plot someone’s downfall in style, even if she’s stuck in my “meh” coloring forever.

I really enjoyed ‘What Once Will Never Be’ by PrincessofWhiteSnow. I was re-reading it and suddenly got an idea to draw something for it and this is the result.

I image Kuniharu to be pretty and I hope this don’t disappoint.
