The road to Cloud Ruler Temple was a long one, even with the horses. They went around the city of Bruma and it started to snow as they got close to where Jauffre was leading them. When they got to the gates, she heard someone say something to the other Blades and the three of them dismounted their horses. She watched Martin try to comfort the horse he took from the priory in the cold weather they'd be leaving them in.
He was so kind.
The blades opened the gates and welcomed Jauffre and Martin to the temple, and they started to scale the stairs. She stayed behind, figuring her work here was done. They didn't need her anymore, the amulet was taken and Martin was safe. Surely the Blades could handle it from here, no? She watched for a mere moment, then began to turn to leave, patting Prior Marobel's horse on the haunch as she went to slip away quietly.
"Aren't you coming, friend?" She turned back to meet the smooth, kind voice, surprised. Martin had turned back to look at her, Jauffre and the Blade that opened the gate were still making their way up the stairs. She couldn't help but smile a little, making her way back towards him.
He smiled in turn, waiting for her to join him on the stairs before he kept going, keeping her at his side.
