THIS IS FOR THE DRIVERS...PEACE! —with the changes we have endured through the past couple of years, we've seen a global change in how employment is viewed. Uber began before COVID-19, way before. But, since February 2020; I have witnessed a country and its people scared like they've never been scared before. BUT, humans have adapted before, right?

⛽TIPS ON PUMPING GAS THAT WILL SAVE YOU $$$

“I don't know what you guys are paying for gasoline…. but here in California we are paying up to $5.75 to $7 per gallon. My line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are some tricks to get more of your money's worth for every gallon: Here at the Kinder Morgan Pipeline where I work in San Jose , CA we deliver about 4 million gallons in a 24-hour period thru the pipeline.. One day is diesel the next day is jet fuel, and gasoline, regular and premium grades. We have 34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 gallons.

1️⃣ Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense the gasoline, when it gets warmer gasoline expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening….your gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role.

2️⃣ A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.

3️⃣ When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. You should be pumping on low mode, thereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.

4️⃣ One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL. The reason for this is the more gas you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine. Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the gas and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every gallon is actually the exact amount.

5️⃣ Another reminder, if there is a gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy gas, DO NOT fill up; most likely the gasoline is being stirred up as the gas is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.

6️⃣ Note: If the pump repeatedly shuts off early, it could be a sign of a problem with the vapor recovery system, such as a clogged carbon canister.”

A friend of mine suggested to do some gardening but I live in an apartment building, so I took your suggestion and thought about it and it’s always good for meditation and relaxation something totally new in my life would be darling even though I helped my dad growing up with his garden and his plants and when they went on vacation I took care of them inside plants outside plants tomato plants etc.

I walked into Ace Hardware next-door to my home and met a gentleman named RAE! he was a greeter there at Ace Hardware, today, and what a wonderful person he was to run into today. I was in the store to buy a pair of gardening gloves which would’ve normally take me five minutes. Ray asked how he could help me and I said I’m gonna start gardening! I said could you show me the gardening stuff.

Before we moved from the Pat place we stood, he began telling me about his sick wife and how things are really changing in his life and that he is learning to cook and it is hard. Rae is it is seven years young. I had to be somewhere by 230 I walked in there at 2:03 PM, and began my adventure and my learning from my new friend at Ace Hardware.

He told me of many things some things he’s learned in his life that have helped him live a long healthy life, some of his experience with the Cold War and his involvement with her sick or service or not sure what you want to call them nowadays but secret agents fighting the Cold War, in the late 50s. I found all of this so interesting that I let him just talk while I said let’s walk and talk and we did.

We move towards my purchase point in the store and separated for a minute and then he was back in his greeting position by the doors when I was finished I stepped up to him and thanked him. I guess my point is that what should’ve taken me five minutes took me 40 minutes.
