I just realized that exactly #onthisday five years ago I went #vegetarian. It was a gradual change. I actually started eating less meat from the beginning of 2015, to the point where in March I only ate meat maybe twice a week. Then on the first day of #spring I decided that I will no longer eat any meat.  About 2.5 months later I went completely #vegan and started this account. I will probably make another post on my 5th #veganniversary 🤗 . Here's some #nobake millet #cake (#vegancheesecake) to celebrate this day. Celebrating alone because #socialdistancing. For #dinner I made some #okonomiyaki 🤗 I made it really simple, the ingredients were just #cabbage , flour and water + some spices. I topped it with #ketchup 🍅 simple, yet satisfying. I've read that this recipe was invented during the war in Japan, when rice wasn't as available as flour. It’s kind of nice being vegan rn. Like we get to see supermarkets go from lol wot is vegan to introducing entire vegan ranges and labeling. U don’t have to go to health food shops any more u can just go to tesco. Restaurants are introducing not just one vegan product but entire vegan menus. U can get like 10 types of non dairy milk. Cosmetic testing is banned and more popular brands are going vegan and cruelty free. Neutering is encouraged. Adopting is encouraged. Kindness is encouraged. I think it’s going to be ok

This is a cage-free egg farm. This supplier would be allowed to also call this farm “humanely raised” and depending on the feed, call it organic. Does it look humane to you? Does it look like they have any more space than a battery cage? They’re still debeaked. Still de-toed. The males are still ground up alive! And they’re still slaughtered. So what could possibly make this “humane”? That’s right, nothing.
