Emmanuel Mudiay helped his team Guangdong Tigers beat Stephon Marbury's Beijing Ducks team in a CBA semifinal game.....he had an impressive 24 pts 8 rebs 4 ast and 2 stls at 18 years old. His team was down 0-2 in a five game series and he helped team win after not playing since his first 10 games because he got injured and Chinese league teams could only carry two U.S. players at a time. He propelled his team to a big win and he is a top five draft pick in this upcoming draft. R.I.P Anthony Mason one of the toughest and intense ballers ever. Pat Riley took a chance on Mase when no one would and the rest is history. He was cut by the Trail Blazers when he left Tennessee State University and then played a few years overseas. Riley invited him to the Knicks camp in 1991 and loved his demeanor and tough attitude, that helped the Knicks reach the 1994 finals and he earned Sixth man of the year honors that year too for his hardwork and dedication to New York. He reunited with Riley later in his career in Miami in 2001 and was named to his only all star game that year. Riley loved Mase for his will to not give and gave it his all every night he was on the court. R.I.P Earl Lloyd who was the first African American to play in the NBA. He helped break the color barrier along with Nathaniel "Sweetwater"Clifton and Chuck Cooper in 1950. Florida state freshmen Xavier Rathan-Mayes goes bonkers last night scoring 30 pts in the final 4:38 (8-8 fg 6-6 3pt fg 4-4 ft) against the Miami Hurricanes. He scored 26 straight pts at one point. RIP Coach Jerry Tarkanian, he led UNLV to the 1990 NCAA title over Coach K's Duke Blue Devils by like 30 pts. He led three teams to the NCAA tournament Long Beach St, UNLV, and Fresno State. Went to the Final Four 4 times. He changed the game forever with his style of play and his connection with his players white or black. He always had his players back no matter what. He was the first to employ a full-court defense combined with a fast-break offense. He used the 3 point line effectively too. He will be missed since he never backed down from no opponent , even the NCAA when he had to go to court. His head coaching record is 784- 205. He finally made the hall of fame in 2013, this took so long because of all the scrutiny he received while coaching from the NCAA. Congrats to Kyle Korver on making the All Star team replacing D.Wade, but I would have selected Brandon Knight from the Milwaukee Bucks.
