On another note, how do the monster snipers get hats that big?

perhaps a hug would be too uncomfortable for him as he'd try to lean away and defense instincts would kicking in - but something is off with him in this shot. my theory is that it's the after effects of the experimentation: oozing some dark liquids every month or so, only getting worse and more frequent???

(he apologizes whenever he hurts someone w his rocky claws when he didn't intend to do harm. so he'd feel quilt after he gets to his senses from this)

i uh dunno. ill come up with a half-assed explanation right now: there's a dedicated group of people who gift the bristle snipers with hats, kind of like the monsters are gods to some people.? So a young bristle sniper who has grown big enough may encounter a hat 'randomly' and he'll just take it upon inspecting that it isn't owned.

I bet when they fight for dominance or something, one of them loses their hat. if you see an old bristle sniper without a hat, that's a sign that that individual may have lost a fight. Maybe that one will find a new hat or get his old one back.

and with monsterized humans: i guess the ones who experimented on em and kept em hostage used some sorta magic/invention on the clothing that makes the clothing stretch when the owner who wears it grows in size. thats why the huge monsterized humans still have clothes
