I’m not sure which one shot you’re talking about, as I have two, but I’m going to assume it’s this one? Considering it was a one shot, that does actually mean it’s finished. However, I do plan on rewriting soon, as it’s old and my writing has improved since then. I might continue it if there is enough interest, but that’s a big if as I would also have to create a plot for it, as it was a one shot and wasn’t intended to go any longer than it currently is.

It's been eighty four years .... but I'm back! My life has been super insane this past year and I wont bore you all with the details, but I am back, for good, and ready to write again. Some Prideshipping fluff with a side of light angst, because this is me and I don’t know how to write something without at least a little bit of angst. Takes place post DSoD.

i kinda wanna go on a road trip

just drive across the county until the end of summer, you know?

sleep at haunted hotels and eat at small town diners and keep moving

stare at the stars from the middle of a desert road, the air clean, the only thing in the world being me and the sand and the peaceful vacuum and whatever watches from atop the plateaus

go meet a cryptid in a rainy labyrinthine forest, meet the ocean in a thousand different places and say hello, again, because you are the same and it is the same and everything has changed since you last met

visit a graveyard and give flowers to the bare headstones, whisper eulogies for a long-gone stranger, and cry for those who had none to cry for them

and then return home, watch the sun rise over familiar roads and towns and faces and think to yourself where has the summer gone? and know that you have changed so much and the world is beautiful and ever changing and it weeps for you

and you know that even though summer must give way to the lovely death of autumn, summer waits for you and though it will never be the same summer, every summer is the same summer, and you have seen the beauty of the summer road and it has seen your beauty

summer waits just as eagerly for you to return to it.

whenever someone writes Atem as cool and suave in any way I just think of the part in Battle City where he's dueling... Pandora I think? and Pandora is all like "if you lose i'm gonna cut your legs off" and Atem's like "you bastard i couldn't believe you'd shuffle your cards in a way that damages them. that's how i figured out you damage your cards on purpose. you are the worst kind of person to disrespect your cards like that"

atem is some kind of train wreck to watch a lot of the time, I know how you feel

 I  love that duel you mentioned, it stuck out to me a lot  for the reason you mention amongst other things

like when atem,  being a person who does not know how to do things like a normal person, gets lost in figuring out what to do to save a person from dying and awkwardly stands there

Yuugi doesn’t have that kind of issue
