As much as my comics paint Peter as a cheery adorkable nerd NEVER forget that boy before UA had hands that were rated E for Everyone. And johnny saw that chip on his shoulder immediately and wasn't remotely intimidated.

This one was fun because I still really like this design I did for the scorpion. And I find it enjoyable doing action pics since I usually do teenage shenanigans.

What did you think of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man?

I'm really mixed on what i've seen and heard of it. I don't love it but i don't necessarily hate hate it.

I think it's animation looks janky. The attempt to use ditko flat shading doesn't always work. Some of these character changes are hard to get behind. Anything that has that tom holland feel to it is already making me purse my lips.

And yet, i am quite fond of the journey of peter's costume going from those 8 episodes of the first until the classic suit. And peter's fight with the scorpion being a pivotal moment. i like that.

Plus it made me dig out the vigilante days concept to explore so at least it got that going for it.

I colored an older piece. I think with the recent Spider-Man cartoon I'd like to explore more of Peter's vigilante days before UA.

It also buys me time because I'm taking so long designing things for OC comics because as my own worst enemy I can't find anything I'm satisfied with and working on another project at the same time helps me feel like I make progress.

I'll share designs later when I get a chance

Have you read the new Ultimate Spider-Man comic series?

parts of it I think it's pretty neat even if it's still hard to really like peters bearded look but other than that, pretty good.

Tbh my reading habits as of late are kinda anemic. I've mostly been gaming or watching DVDs. Yes I said DVDs, lol.

You know the thing nobody tells you is the difficulty of starting up from square one. Creatively that's what this year feels like will be for the rest of it. I'm glad for anyone that sticks around for the new stuff coming down the pipeline that isn't the fanstuff i'm known for. Thanks guys

I really really really wanted to get this done before christmas but a lot of stuff happened and i got sick twice over. but part of my new years resolution was to keep doing original comics so i decided having finished inks was better than no comic at all.
