Escapism Cover. This is my first post! I don’t have any sort of fancy system for my recordings, I just play the audio on my laptop and record it on my phone. The piano audio credit goes to Amosdoll on YouTube :)

Basic Math in Japanese
あけましておめでとうございます
I’m sorry for the lack of posts recently, I promise I didn’t forget about this blog.
I hope you all find this useful. I formatted the post this way so you can see the phonetic guide. Let me know if it is hard to read; I can upload it again without the guide.

Resources: Japanese Class
When recommending resources, I always see the usual Duolingo, Memrise, and Genki. They are great, but I never see this one mentioned:
Japaneseclass.jp

This website offers SRS practice for kana, kanji, and vocabulary.
There are eight chapters for vocabulary and kanji. In total, you can learn 2,000 kanji and 2,300 vocabulary words from this resource alone.
If that isn’t enough, people often post their own notes and vocabulary words in the note section. Of course, you can always create your own through this feature.
Another neat thing about this website is the ranking system. Points can be earned through the attendance section or during vocabulary, kanji, and kana tests in the lessons section. This encourages people to learn as many new words as possible to get to the top.
I will admit that there are a few issues so far. For a while now, the social feed has been flooded with advertisements from bots. It’s easy enough to ignore if you don’t care for the social feed, but for those who would still like to interact with the community, the forum and chat are relatively active and have no bots.
I highly recommend this website for it organization of content and the sense of completion obtained for finishing each lesson. It is not to say that other SRS apps are not as competent, I just think that this website is worth trying out alongside other resources.

I finally finished making flash cards for Genki I. I didn’t see a “complete” list on Memrise when looking for a course, so I have decided to share it with you all.

7/30 Update
In the past few days, I have been working on a song translation. I finished typing up the song, so I'm putting all the words into memrise to share with you guys. I'm also trying to learn new grammar concepts from the song to make separate posts. Also, to not be completely inactive while I work on the translation, I have been putting together a regular vocabulary list that I will post within the next day or two. I don't want to give away the topic of what I'm working on, but I really hope you all find it useful.

I have been jumping around a bit with the material I used, but I really want to get through this book. I am spending some time writing the vocabulary down, taking note of the grammar, and inputting it into memrise. My goal is to do a paragraph a day so I can still use other resources.

I need more practice with Japanese, so I thought having a bullet journal to write in would help.
I have been setting up my bullet journal for the past few days in Japanese. I kept the same layout as the traditional bullet journal, and I decided not to worry so much about decorating, since it usually overwhelms me.
The point of this bullet journal is to force me to use the language, not to get everything perfect on the spot. I did mess up quite a few things, as you can see with the scribbles and the kanji 年, but it is all apart of the learning process – as in, I learned how to write it the right way.
I am going to keep setting it up throughout the summer, and I will use it when school starts.

🚨 The internet needs you 🚨
You’re up again, Tumblr.
Back in 2015 you demanded that the FCC adopt strict net neutrality rules and establish a free and open internet. And you won.
That should’ve been the end of it. But apparently not.
The new head of the FCC wants to undo the net neutrality protections you fought so hard for.
His proposed changes open the door to your web traffic being slowed down, or even blocked altogether. You could be forced to pay extra to use your favorite apps. You could even be prevented from getting news from the sources you trust.
Title II protects consumers and democracy by ensuring all voices can be heard.
You know the drill. Here’s what to do:
The FCC is taking comments from the public, and dearfcc.org is making it as simple as possible for you to make your voice heard.
Go there now 👉 dearfcc.org ✌️
You’ll just need to provide a name, an address, and then say a little bit about why rolling back Title II protections is a bad idea. If you’re not quite sure what to write, here’s something to get you started:
I’m writing to urge you to keep our Open Internet rules based on Title II in place. Without them, we could lose the internet as we know it.
The proposed changes to FCC rules would allow fast lanes for sites that pay, and force everyone else into slow lanes. We’ve already seen access to streaming services like Netflix, popular games like League of Legends, and communication platforms like FaceTime slowed down, or even blocked. Conditions like this hurt businesses large and small, and penalize the users who patronize them.
The changes also open the door to unfair taxes on internet users, and could also make it harder for blogs, nonprofits, artists, and others who can’t pay up to have their voices heard.
Please leave the existing existing net neutrality rules based on Title II in place.
Thank you!
If you need more ammo, feel free to quote these experts from our net neutrality Issue Time. TechCrunch and Battle for the Net also have some good starters.
Everyone is counting on everyone else here. Do your part and tell the FCC to keep a free and open internet under Title II.

JAKIGAN MEISTER (咲人) 1st live “Ejaculation” report

Before I start I need to say that there is no way a written report could ever do this live justice. At times it will sound like I’m exaggerating just because I’m a Sakito fan, but believe me, I am not. I can be critical of him and I notice mistakes when they happen, and he’s right when he says there are some things that he needs to improve on, but this changes nothing about the fact that this live was a mind-blowing experience.
I’m not going to bother with a setlist. He played all the songs from his album in a slightly different order in the main part, minus Korokke Soba, which came in the second encore together with a second performance of World’s End because the song means a lot to him. The first encore was Kenka Drive (but better), Dasei Boogie (but better) and Gokujou Noushin Rengoku Nishiki (but better).
So the live started with the support members entering the stage (Hiro of Raphael/rice had some fans there who cheered for him and of course there were some Nightmare fans who cheered for Ni~ya). Sakito entered a short while later, looking absolutely stunning in his outfit and heels with his hair adorably wavy. You could tell by his entrance that he was nervous, and by nervous I mean he looked like he was about to run right off the stage again and throw up.
