too late here i go. spoilers for yellowjackets i guess. also i’m gonna focus on the teen timeline because sorry to all the milfs but the adult timeline bores me </3 oh also also warning for violence/death/gore/cannibalism/etc. it’s yellowjackets. anyway

in yellowjackets it’s a highschool team of soccer players that crashes on their flight to nationals. but i don’t see many of the voltron characters as sporty. mainly pidge lmao that girl wants nothing to do with the outdoors

so idk how they’d end up all on a plane. school field trip i guess? in high school? but ignore that what’s important is they crash and everyone is stranded

everyone being the paladins plus allura and coran, matt, and the MFEs? and maybe human au lotor + co? but i think the main 7 would be the only survivors. they’re the main characters <3

now i don’t think it’d be a 1-to-1 recreations of the show because different characters are gonna act differently in the situations. BUT i think how tai disassociates and is “taken over” by other tai in extremely stressful times is hunk behavior. to ME he has moral ocd and struggles with being a good person and placing way too high expectations on himself. in situations where it’s a decision between being a “bad person” and death, his survival instinct creates an alternate personality to be “responsible” for the bad things

keith is the survivalist keeping everyone alive at the beginning. the crash destroys shiro’s arm and he needs an impromptu amputation? give keith the emergency fireman’s ax he’ll handle it. lance is the best with a gun but doesn’t have the stomach to hunt deer? keith will handle the dirty work just make the shot. etc etc etc

lance is, as mentioned, unusually good with a gun but can’t handle killing anything. the first time he successfully shoots a deer hunk has to comfort him lest he have a panic attack

i think pidge wpuld fully mentally detach from the horrors of what she’s dealing with. especially since i’m giving her the travis treatment and killing her brother 😬 and making her need to eat him to survive 😬😬😬 pidge doesn’t feel emotions anymore it’s just logic

i think shiro falls into a leader role from being a teacher but struggles with maintaining it due to. only having one fucking arm and no surgery or painkillers. he feels bad telling a buncha teenagers (and coran) what to do but. he can’t help!! it sucks

speaking of. i’m not sure what coran would be doing here. maybe he’d pull a coach ben and fuck off into the woods to do his own thing

also big big big time yellowjackets spoilers. after learning about who pit girl is. i think james gets that treatment. he starts too many fights and isn’t as “useful” as keith to stick around for too long </3

though i DON’T know who the antler queen would be. i think be a very different role and play out very differently. miss antler queen there’s no one quite like you <3

my bestieeeee arbor wrote this ^.^ lesbian kallura with very fun characterization and good sillies. arbor’s been a master of dialogue and character voice since i’ve known him and this fic doesn’t disappoint. keith and allura are in lesbians <3

top tier classic fic. genuinely devastating that the author orphaned it. i haven’t read it in forever but i remember it being very silly and it creating a love for texting/group chat fics in my heart

Ok the trope of Keith getting galra-specific diseases has been done over and over (and will continue to be done! I eat that shit uppppp) however consider the inverse; where Keith is the only one capable of producing the antibodies necessary to fight off an alien infection that downs both the humans and alteans so they have to try to use him as either a template or an antibody resistance donor, while trying to also tailor it to not be immediately rejected by their very not galra systems
