We said farewell to family..

When forcibly I read, emotionally I was beset..

When I could ignore no more and listened,

let it thunder in,

I was beaten worse than I can remember..

When I carried her casket, my eyes could not be met.

Touches, hugs and pleasant remarks are like grains of sugar in oceans of tea..

Sweet.. but fading instantly

Loss is solved alone.

At least that's true for me.

at just a daydream with you.

What would I do, if I were

at a picnic by your lake..

the tales we would tell..

the sun/the trees/the water.

A touch, a smile, a gesture.

The unknown/the surprise..

the open, busy mind..

but snap.

I'm here - there is no rewind nor skipping to the end..

Thanks for the smile, I'll see you in a while - keep warm and stay safe but just be.
