Weird things I create usually with sewing and usually made with felt. Everything I own is covered in thread.

The largest quilt I’ve ever made. It’s just over a yard by a yard. It’s a gift for one of my family members. I hand quilted it with embroidery thread. My machine got so mad at me when I was sewing this together. The dragon pattern is inspired by an image I found on Pinterest.

I needed a weapon for my Maul Mando cosplay. I considered painting a nerf gun or making one. Instead I decided to make the darksaber as Maul was in possession of it at one point. The blade has a metal and wood structure covered in stiff felt. I machine sewing the lines onto the blade then painted them over with acrylic. For the illusion of a glow I used lace. Everyone jokes about it being a frilly sword. I think the illusion works. The hilt is also made of felt. The main handle part is circular but where it connects to the blade is boxy. I hand sewed the decoration. I used poly fill to stuff it. Right now the blade and the hilt are attached. I do plan on them being 2 separate pieces in the future that can be put together. I also want to neaten my stitches. I’m considering adding beads to the blade to make it shiny and adding more lace to strengthen the illusion.
I am overall very happy with how this came out. I have a lot more to do for my maul mando cosplay and I am happy that this part of it is done🗡️⚔️

This was supposed to be a journal cover but I ended up making it a pillow. It’s inspired by Azura from Fairytopia. I really like the perspective on the flower. It’s backed by blue velvet

This is the jet pack for my mando cosplay. I made it entirely out of felt and it is stuffed with plush fluff. it could double as a pillow. I think the jetpack design is more empire than clone wars (my reference photo is Sabine Wren and the empire mandos), but I’ll just be during the empire but i kept my maul super commando look. I need to add some details to the middle cylinder and the top red parts. Should I add fire coming out of it?

I made these from model magic. They are meant to be the dream rings from wheel of time (I’m on book 5). I still have to paint them. I also like möbius strips. They are easy to make.

This is what my mando armor should look like when finished. The leg armor is not the final design. Not included: bicep armor, back plate that jetpack attaches to. I might revisit the idea of using a Kama. Practical elements are also not included.

This is a hoodie I embellished based on art by @kote-wan and @watsonaname. I’m not really a crop top person so I did a sweater instead. My main material was felt along with thread and embroidery floss. I did this by hand. I also started pieces for the sleeves but did not add them. I might later. This is not the greatest picture so I might update that when it is warmer out. Again, this is based off of art by 2 other artists. I hope that its cool.

This is the front armor for my mando cosplay. It is made of felt, stuffing and backed with an old shirt. It is also 100% hand sewn. I still have to finish the top piece. Shoulder armor and the jet pack are also works in progress. I also have to add practical elements to the helmet. Next in leg and forearm armor. I have a goal of finishing this this year.

I am making a “book jacket” based on Privilege of the Sword by Ellen Kushner. It is going to be in the style of a doublet. Very Elizabethan. This is the back. I have a black rose embroidered on the back to represent a character in the book. I am going to surround the main flower with flowers in bisexual colors. The jacket will be covered in embroidery using white thread to look like lace and swords. So far I have used old curtains (the teal/blue color), leftover fabric from a sale (green velvet) and a thrifted tablecloth (the green floral fabric). So far the base jacket is done. I might add pieces to the shoulder which will require seam ripping. I am not satisfied with the fit. It is not the best work. Most of that is because I made my own pattern for this and Im learning, part of that is using a sewing machine on the floor. Overall I very happy with how it looks and I am having fun learning.
