DON'T turn "spot the idiot" into a drinking game." Especially if they're a fandom pest.
I got this jerk in my comments last year, and I thought "oh, okay, just an arrogant sack of shit who wants to fansplain my favourite cartoon to me, no thanks." So I wasn't polite in my reply.
A few months later, guess who's back? Yep, same dickhead telling me shit I already knew, and absolutely didn't ask for, and acting like I should be thankful? I guess? that they deigned to tell me things?
Anyway, was looking for something to read, and sometimes I check comments before fics, just to get a feel for what kind of reader vibes there are, and you'll never believe who I found in the comments.
I think I might start a screenshot collection "Here's why Justimus is one of the worst things to happen to Winx Club since Fate."
They seem completely convinced they're the only one who knows anything about any of the Winx Canons, except when people actually use the carious Winx Canons, and takes joy in hating on things that are: fun, innovative, rewrites, and anything in the realm of good. So I'm about to use them as a fic rec. They hate it? I'm about to have a good time.
But also: please don't do this shit ā, this is not how you get more writing out of authors, this is how to destroy our desire to write more.
(I haven't blanked any names, because the only person who has anything to be ashamed about, is already hiding behind a guest account.)

I can think of at least one thing UoW would probably (rightly) drag me for. But everything else I might commit violence over.
Just because I shelved the Alt Con doesnāt mean itās not my baby.
On the other hand I am kind of curious what such a big name fan might think of my take on things.
Finally got around to Unicorn of Warās video on charmix.
Got to the section about Musa getting her charmix at the concert and my brain went āha! Alt Con referenceā because thatās where she gets it in @alternativewinxcontinuity ās rewrite.
Anyway, now Iām sitting here thinking about Unicorn of War going through rewrites in the fandom once the canon has run out.
I donāt know whether it would be funny or terrifying tbh.
What does everyone else think? How would you react it your rewrite ended up on the Unicornās chopping block of critique?

I'm going to choose violence real quick, and I'm sorry. I'm speaking about my own opinions, issues, and preferences, I do not speak for everyone, in fact I may speak for literally no one else on this matter.
Daphne, Thoren and Nabu.
Saw someone commenting how the fandom "wants Daphne dead (but Nabu ironically alive) " and they seem to be under the impression that it's about hating Daphne.
For me at least, it's not. Nabu and Daphne start at different places regarding life and death, and I like Daphne, I love her as a concept, and I don't mind her being alive, I just don't like what that means narratively.
Death has no consequences for Bloom, and only for Bloom.
Domino was destroyed? Nope, it's fine actually!
Bloom's birth parents were killed? Psych!
Bloom's sister who has been hanging on as a spirit despite everything? Actually she's just a bit cursed but Bloom can save her by being the specialist of snowflakes.
Oh no! A specialist got killed in a fight? JK he's fiiiiine, also only sleeping in the other dub.
The reason I don't want Nabu dead is because it meant basically nothing, and his death is the only time death mattered or was actually permanent. Kind of Sus. tbh.
Like yeah, pain for Aisha for an episode, and a reason to be a man hater, but then they just shoved men at her anyway until they decided enough time had passed and she's dating again actually. (My thoughts and opinions on Nex and the enforced idea that every Winx must be dating someone to be happy are not relevant to this post.)
"But you just said you were fine with Daphne being alive, doesn't sound like it!"
Look, I'mma be honest, I don't like that death had no consequences for Bloom, she didn't lose everything forever, she got everything she wanted back, and I don't think that's fair. Honestly? I think it should have been Daphne *or* Domino, not Daphne *and* Domino.
Yeah, Daphne's worth an entire world. And I think Daphne should have been the one to come back, not Domino and their parents, because she was present as a spirit, she was present in the narrative.
I just think it would have been more interesting, in the "Lost Princess" narrative if Daphne came back to life, and she taught Bloom everything she could about their heritage, and the duo worked together to take back Domino, slowly removing the ice and rejuvenating the planet and welcoming back the descendants of those who'd been off planet at the time. Recreating the society, perhaps not perfectly, but enough that Domino becomes itself again.
In the show, it feels like Daphne was brought back so Bloom can marry Sky. They brought back Domino, its people, its rulers, and only Bloom stood as heir to the throne, but she's in love with Sky who's the... maybe king? prince? of Eraklyon, with no other heirs to take over for him. So he can't marry over to Domino for the same reason she can't marry over to Eraklyon, politically, they can't marry without depriving one world of its rightful ruler.
I mean sure they could try long distance ruling, but one world is hard enough, and both Bloom and Sky are the 'off on universe saving adventure' types. It would fall apart.
But no fret, freshly back from the dead here's Daphne, who is actually the crown princess and first in line for the throne of Domino. Now Bloom can do what she wants with no political repercussions or shirking of responsibilities.
I don't hate Thoren as a concept, I hate that he's Sky's cousin. It feels weird to me, very... "keeping it in the family." Like, Daphne couldn't have just met a guy, he had to be related to the Specialists in some way? Specifically to her sister's bf?
I don't dislike Thoren and Daphne, they were just... very off screen, it felt like it came out of nowhere, but I'm glad Daphne has a nice relationship, she deserves to be cherished. (Especially after her terrible break up with Politea.) I just, wish we'd gotten to really see it really build, but Winx Club has never been the best at relationships.
-
tbh Daphne coming back is something I've wibbled back and forth on in the Alt Con. But if she doesn't come back, I'm not bringing Thoren in. If I do bring her back (after Bloom has given her up at Daphne's own request to protect the Vault of Domino) Bloom and the Winx are going to have to Go Through Some Things to get her back, to really earn it.
And then Daphne and Bloom work on bringing back Domino, first just for themselves and because Domino doesn't deserve to wallow in ice forever, then when descendants and survivors trickle back, for all the people.
In this version, Thoren would be working as security for a trading company which helps Domino back on its feet, and he and Daphne get to know each other, maybe have a few adventures as they eliminate monsters and traps left by the glacial curse.
Whether or not Thoren is Sky's cousin... his whole family would have to have been disgraced and cast out when Thoren was young, to explain why he has literally never been mentioned before, because Sky doesn't really remember him, or has never known him... of course Sky has never been good about mentioning people he has relationships with if he doesn't like them...
Anyway:
I feel like people would dislike certain death/undeath aspects of Winx Club if the writers had given a shit about consequences being something everyone has to deal with, and if they'd been better at writing relationships.

Thinking about doing something with the Nemesis from WOW, and the Dreamix/Onyrix forms.
Considering them being the different sides of the same form, earned by defeating your Nemesis, but acceptance vs overpowering.
Dreamix, the dream form, you accept the darkest version of yourself and merge, kind of like a āno, *we* are sparrow-hawkā moment. (Is that reference too niche?)
Onyrix, the nightmare form, you beat the ever-loving shit out of your Nemesis and devour its remains overpower and consume it.
Now, big divergence: all witch forms are actually (wingless) Onyrix.
(Although I will admit Dreamix has slightly more visual vibes in common with known witch-fits)

mental notes for rewriting season 7 & 8
Brafilius and Valtor are going in the bin, The fairy animals are on thin ice, and the Trix are going back into storage.
-
Wild Magic is the name for the remnant chaotic state of magic which came before the Great Dragon emerged and formed order in the Magical Dimension.
Kalshara was a Wild Magic researcher who was corrupted by exposure to Wild Magic and became obsessed with the idea of returning the Magical Dimension to Primal Chaos.
Mavilla (with whom she had *history*) stopped her and banished her, but was unable to find the Chaos Seeds (time bombs of Wild Magic) Kalshara planted in the Magical Dimension which were to be set of and destabilize magic as we know it.
Wild Magic, being the chaos state of magic, destabilizes the ordered form of magic, causing spells to fall apart or have unforeseen side effects.
Unable to track down the Chaos Seed, Mavilla went into solitude to study Wild Magic, eventually developing a form - Butterflix - which gave immunity to the destabilizing and corrupting nature of Wild Magic.
The reason Mavilla couldn't find the chaos seed was because they were hidden in pocket dimensions (mini worlds, for which the quantum form Tynix is needed to enter) and star cores. (Which can only be entered with Cosmix)
When they start popping off, Argen is infected and mutated, his resentment growing until he loses reason and kills his sister, Dorana, he hungers for the light of the stars and goes on a rampage to devour the light of the stars.
Twinkly, Dorana's handmaiden and apprentice star guardian crosses paths with the Winx as she tries to stop it and avenge Dorana.
They team up, the Winx passing on the Butterflix's anti-chaos ability, and Twinkly giving the Winx the Cosmix so they can enter the Star Hearts with her.
Mavilla (still a former headmistress of Alfea) also leaves retirement to help various Alfea fairy teams to track down un-popped seeds while the Winx keep the stars on.
Twinkly becomes the star queen after helping to save the universe, and Argen sacrifices himself in penance probably to stabilize the stellar array. (The stars are part of the power operating system of the magical dimension or something.)

Can you please make a timeline of the winx club series with the years, months and age of characters? Please i really want a detailed timeline...
Tell me honestly what you thought waiting six months and asking again would do. Did you think I'd be 'in a better mood' or did you think I'd change my mind because you followed me before you asked this time? The level of self-entitlement you have displayed is some next-level bullshit.
If I say no to answering a question, especially one that amounts to doing your homework for you, and you ask again I have not only the right to block you, but honestly I think I should probably start wondering if you're a bot written by another user to harass me every six months and report you.
Do not try to play the victim here, I told you no, and you didn't listen. People like you are the literal reason I am no longer active on this blog.

And your first thought was to ask an effectively inactive blog who stopped posting for exactly this reason?
@mellowfanartcartoonnetworkn-blog
Hello, can you please make a Winx timeline of the cartoon with the winx ages and the birthdays for each season ?
did you seriously make two dummy accounts just to ask me to make you a timeline of the show three times in the same hour instead of looking it up on the wiki?
My last post was over a year ago? Why? how many other blogs are you bothering like this?
I'm sorry if that's not what has actually happened and it's just a cosmic coincidence that two bot looking blogs have asked the same question in the same hour after a long hiatus, but please understand, I have some one who has sent me the same question (even after I answered it) several times over the past few years on anon until I turned anon options off and they also sent the question from a bot looking account.
...and I have been having a time of it in another fandom like do any of y'all realise how misogynistic it is outside this fandom? Like, we have our own problems, and I won't pretend we don't, my my gosh the other fandoms of the world are unhinged!

I'm unsure if it was you but I think one of your posts mentioned Magix having a Solaria district? I was wondering if you could clarify on that
No sorry, I think you have the wrong blog, I don't remember talking about that. Actually, I don't think I've talked much about Magix in general.
If anyone does know who it was who spoke about it (yes even if it was me and I've just forgotten) could you drop an @ please.

Hey, why canāt I send you asks on anon anymore?Ā
I got an anonĀ āaskā today, and unlike the half-handful of other anon asks Iāve gotten which I can pretend are asking (or care) about my AU in some context, this anon was not about that, they werenāt even pretending to be interested in my world building.
The ask has been deleted, but it was also the final straw, for my own mental health, Iāve turned anon off. If you want to ask me stuff, you still can, you just canāt ask anonymously anymore.
Sorry to everyone who was shy, but letās be honest, I got so few asks this is probably only going to impact one, maybe two people.

Crack theory for (what the heck month are we in? April?)
What if the reason fairies and witches call the names of their attacks isnāt for spell activation purposes?Ā
Like maybe the first dozen times it is to set the spell, but after that what if they do it because itās just an ingrained training habit to let their allies know what theyāre about to do so they can get out of the way?Ā
And itās only teams that have been together for a long time and are familiar with each other and each otherās spells that stop yelling out the attack name?
Itās not Enchantment, itās Team Communication.

What percentage of each sex would you say each magical being is (Ie, Wizards are 60% male/40% female, Witches are 88% female/12% males, Heroes are 90% male/10% female, etc)?
No.
I've answered an ask like this before, and I will repeat myself I hope for the last time:
I Do Not feel comfortable assigning a hard statistic number to gender divisions, especially given there will be worlds that do not recognize the male | female gender binary. (and since I've tried to at least imply in the past trans and nb magicals.)
You want a number for your own rewrite, fic or fan project?
Make one up yourself.
Please don't ask me this shit again. I am not in the mood.
I am this close to turning off anon.
Is it because I should have been asleep several hours ago and am currently saying things I'll feel bad about in the morning? Maybe. But don't wait a few months to re-ask a question I've already said I don't want to answer.

So how is Daphne a Nymph when sheās also the Vessel?
Are Nymphs the vessels of primordial magic
Also what happens to the Great Dragon
Within the Alt Con 'The Nymphs of Magix' is just the name of Daphne's circle, like how Bloom and her friends are the 'Winx.'
Nymph isn't really a type or stage of Fairy, but even if it was, being a Vessel is something that happens alongside, if not independently of being a Fairy, and is only really a thing for the Dragon Fire.
Other people might act as vessels or conduits for certain magics, but it's a different level to the Vessels of the Dragon Fire.
The Great Dragon is taking a nap in a slightly different Dimension just off of Domino, it's not really affected by the Planet being encased in ice.
#winx#winx club#winx alt con#winx alternative continuity#just blog stuff#i got an ask!#okay#this one i was dragging my feet on purpose answering#because i feel like it could have been answered by simply reading any of the several posts concerning the nymphs or vessels#that i had previously posted

Are you responding to asks again?
I mean it depends very much on the question. If this is about panties, then no, never.
-
If it's about the Wizard Culture Question: holy gosh wow I am so sorry about that one.
It has been sitting in my ask box for ... years? now and it has been looking at me with the metaphorical eyes of a very sad and abandoned kitten.
The problem I'm having with trying to answer that one is that it feels like there's not a lot to go off of in the canon. Or at least not in the cartoon which I'm more familiar with rather than the comic, which might have more. idk, I haven't read very much of it.
In the cartoon we really only spend a small amount of time with wizards, Nabu and Palladium* getting (I feel) the most screen time followed up by Wizgiz* and Saladin. Apart from those four, and the very background Real!Avalon, half of the wizards we as viewers spend any significant time with, are bad guys. (The Black Circle, Fake!Avalon (not even a real wizard), Valtor, Darkar... Brafiliusš)
(*they are listed as 'elf' and 'leprechaun' so may not count but I feel like they do.)
What we do get to see is that the wizards of the Black Circle have their own magical specialty, Palladium and Wizgiz are teachers who specialize in a specific field or branch of general magical arts (the kind anyone with enough magic can use).
Saladin and Nabu both use staffs, but that could be an indicator of Combat Magic specialization.
The point is, I don't feel that I've spent enough time with enough wizards to get an idea of what kind of culture they'd form.
The best I can figure though, is that wizards are likely to be the ones who study Cultural Magic.
If you remember there was an episode in season... 2? where they were studying the Rain Dance, Musa performed an anti-rain dance to fight Stormy. During that episode it was said that each planet had their own form of rain summoning magic.
From that we can extrapolate that there are some spells that are ritualized, which use specific steps in specific orders that are unique to each planet.
It would make sense that these spells would be held by wizards who can use either 'light' magic or 'dark' magics, unlike fairies and witches who tend to keep to one side in channeling their powers.
Each planet would probably have a 'small' circle of wizards who learn this Cultural Magics, whose primary focus is the keeping and teaching of these magics to the next generations to ensure that their planet's magical heritage isn't lost.
Other wizards probably focus on a branch of magic like combat or runes or transformation, some possibly even studying on multiple planets to gain a broader understanding of the subject.
Honestly it wasn't something I'd thought a lot about because it wasn't where the focus of the Alt Con was, but when I got the ask I realized just how much I hadn't thought about it, so I started thinking about it but, as much as I want to answer that ask I feel like I don't have an answer to give.
-
While I was thinking about it though, my brain did decide there was a group who identify as wizards even though they may or may not be made up of wizards, fairies and witches, and who've figured out a way to manifest magic externally in a measurement of power. The group was inspired by the nine-tailed foxes and fox spirits of several Asian countries, and the idea of a secretive group who crop up every now and then and adopt stray magic users and have no *known* home world.
It was actually half provoked by a crossover idea I was having with Bloom finding out one of her ancestors from Domino was part of the group and had been on Earth and Bloom trying to track down the traces of her because she's trying to piece together her heritage and ties to her ancestors in the wake of being the last of her bloodline revelations.
-
If the question is basically anything else... uh, maybe? I'm doing (trying to do) a couple of projects this month in another fandom, so we'll see?
