”User?”

I pale upon hearing my wife, Ao3’s voice coming from the doorway. I turn to face her but don’t leave the arms of my three side pieces.

Wattpad glares at Ao3 whilst Fanfiction.net and Tumblr blush upon seeing her organized tag system and easy to read layout.

“Ao3, it’s not what it looks like!” I plead, staring at my beloved who’s just returned from a long and grueling maintainence.

“What else could this possibly be, User? I’m a beta but I’m not a fool! I leave to get maintenance for YOU and you have the audacity to cheat on me!?”

I pale, realizing my mistake.

“I’m sorry, my dear one. I just love you so much that even being apart for a few hours leaves me so empty that I try everything to make myself feel whole. But it never works..”

I wipe her tears and kiss her cheeks.

“None of them ever make me feel as much as you. I love how you gift me with stories and smut, with tears and laughter, and with tags that many sane people find concerning and inside jokes my parents would throw fits over. I love you Ao3, and I’m sorry for not waiting for you..”

She smiles and with her newly restored bookmarks, we all have a fivesome.

Out of curiosity, does anyone actually know why most ao3 users flock to Tumblr when it’s down and not some other site?
