Welcome to the first round of the Destiel All Sports AU hybrid BangFest! We’re glad you’re here, and look forward to seeing what you create. Please read all rules before signing up. 

What's a hybrid BangFest??

We all know about bangs, reverse bangs and fests. Well, a BangFest is the love child born to the world when all of the above had a threesome.

It may sound a little confusing and we promise you it'll get worse before it gets better, in perfect Destiel style.

How does it work?

In order to participate in the Bang part of this Hybrid BangFest you’ll need to subscribe, filling in and submitting the form here.

1-If you're a writer, create and submit an excerpt for your story, complete with all the potentially triggering warnings and tags through the Google form that will be made available to you.

2-if you're an artist, create and submit a sketch or the concept of your art for the BangFest through the Google form that will be made available to you.

3-If you are a writer or artist but don't have a work of your own to submit and just want to be in for claims, please specify that when you fill in and submit the form.

⚠️All works must be new, created specifically for this event⚠️

Submissions from both writers and artists will be published respectively in the fic-gallery and art-gallery on the BangFest Discord channel (so yes, you need to be on Discord in order to participate).

All participants are free to pick and claim the work that inspires them through the claim form and create an accompanying fic or artwork, following the first comer rule.

🤺 Plagiarism and AI generated contents are not allowed in this event.

🏈 All works must be new (created purposefully for this event).

🏏 All ratings are allowed, but you must be 18+ in order to submit/claim explicit works.

🏉 Please don't put explicit scenes in your banner.

🏸 The fest is Destiel centric, so Destiel must be endgame in your fic.

🤼 Both Dean and Cas must be directly involved in sports. If they are teammates, opponents, trainer and trainee, members of the tech staff, athlete and sport reporter or whatever, it's up to you.

🏐 All sports at any level (amateur or professional) are allowed. 

🥎 Writers are expected to write a minimum of 3k words

🎿 Artists are expected to produce a minimum of a banner and an illustration. Any medium and any art techniques are welcome, no AI though.

🏁 This event is money-free, so don't try to purchase collabs, commission artworks and such.

🏹 Please tag your trigger warnings as clearly and as thoroughly as possible when you submit your work to us.

🥋 It's strictly forbidden to share your works before their scheduled time for publication.

🏂 No ghosting please, communicate as much and as clearly and kindly as you can. 

🏋️‍♂️ Keep in mind that we are human, some of us are burnt out and we may miss things/make mistakes. None of those come from a place of ill intent.

🐛FAQs🦋

How do I claim a work?

A gallery of the art created will be opened to authors as first come, first served. The same will happen for fics that the artists can claim. In order to claim a work you need to fill in and submit the claim form during the claims period. Any claims submitted prior to, or after the claims period will be invalid. 

Can I claim more than one work?

You can claim one work in the first claim round. If necessary, there will be a second claim round for all the unclaimed works. You can pick more works among those if you want.

What if I want to be in both as an artist AND a writer?

You can be in as both (kudos to you!) But you can't self-pair, meaning you cannot illustrate your own fic or write a story for your own artwork.

I need to/want to step out of the event.

It's OK. Life can be bitchy and unpredictable. Just please, try to be respectful, don't ghost, communicate with your artist /author, be Misha-y as much as you can.

What art medium/format is required?

All mediums are fine (except AI). As for the format, if you're working on a traditional medium, try and take an HQ, HR picture of your work in the appropriate lighting. Digital art must be at least 300mpx.

Despite everyone's best efforts, my work remained unclaimed, what now?

We really wish for everyone to be happily paired, and any unclaimed works will be opened to the public. Should a work still remain unclaimed (and we hope that’s not the case!), you’re still welcome to submit it as part of the ‘FEST’. 🥳🎪

I'm not interested in collaborations, I only want to publish my work in the fest.

Of course you're allowed to do so. In this case subscribing and joining the discord is not required, but you can do it nonetheless for the fun of it. (You won't be granted access to the galleries until we start posting though).

Did you know that…?

According to Urban dictionary, a BangFest is “a crowded house party wherein trap music is played at high volume and there is unlimited alcohol.”

Now, I'm not telling you what music to listen to, but I like the spirit. This event is born in a chaotic mind and it aims to be as chaotically joyous (or joyously chaotic) as possible.

⚠️Even though this event is just for fun, there's a few things that will disqualify you from this, and possibly future rounds, such as:

☠️ Disrespectful language, rudeness and meanness toward the mods and other participants to the bang.

☠️ Shaming and hating toward someone else's preferences, ships, head canons etc.

☠️ Unjustified drop off after the final checkpoint and ghosting.

☠️ Asking for money in exchange for art/fic or any other service. Trying to scam people.

☠️ Using AI

☠️ Plagiarizing others’ work.

☠️ Any violation of the rules listed above
