Last weekend, I chatted with my entire family about where exactly we lived in Tripoli, Libya for close to two decades in the 60's and 70's. Sadly no one remembered. We had no street address, and there was no mail delivery back then. We went to the central post office to pick up mail. I wonder if anyone else have lived in places where they don't have street addresses? This is a reduction linocut in two colors. 12 Years a Slave is a must-read for students of American history. The book is an autobiography of Solomon Northup a free black man from the 1800’s who was kidnapped from New York and trafficked into slavery in Louisiana. He wrote this book after he finally gained freedom from the horrors of slavery.
