I was fortunate enough to see the strawberry moon last week.

It was a stunning sight!

This proud stag looked like it was posing for me in the chill evening air at Richmond Park! Having a camera that can track a moving subject as well as handle higher ISOs well really helped.

I took this around sunrise, at ten past six in the morning. I would have preferred direct lighting but I like the soft look the cloudy dawn light gave the shot.

This handsome male giraffe has a little hitchhiker. I took this in the Maasai Mara and had to crop in a lot when editing!

The countryside by night

I didn't realise the fence was in this prior to taking taking it, I just put my camera on the ground and propped it up with a folded camping chair, on a nearly pitch black country lane. I used a 3sec delay so that I didn't need to push the shutter button myself and introduce shake. I really like how this one turned out.

That's no sun! I took this at f4, using a tripod, with a 25 second exposure.

With a slow enough shutter speed these plants look almost like they're lit by the setting sun.

Next: maybe a few photos of a shy swan...

I shot these photos with a 400mm Sigma lens.

Yet I still had to crop in heavily!

All 33MP of my camera were working very hard.
