Would anyone be willing to talk over my ideas for the new script for Record Deal? I tried to work on the script but I am frustrated with how to start and the ideas I do have I can't figure out how to write so it's currently blank.

For those of you that were curious, here's the animation I did for the intro on its own!

Another OpenToonz thing... this time I utilized keyframes which does make a difference with how smooth the animation is.

(I also managed to get an image in the program for the first time and I LOVE how that looks so I will for sure utilize it in the future.)

If you are a professional animator and were to look at the keyframe placement however you may be sick. (I'm aware there's an easier way to do it... I just didn't have the time to figure it out.)

As much as I love solely hand-drawn animation I would also like to try out keyframes and 2D rigging eventually so hopefully I can update on that!

I'm 90% the final series won't look like this but I think it'd be cool for short animations. If it wasn't such a PAIN to make though... I started this earlier but had to stop and I most likely won't clean it up.

I've also been thinking of using color for story purposes. Black and white and red are also the prevalent colors in the pitch bible!

The caption was also meant to be different but I couldn't get "Possessed Danny Tied Up" to not sound weird.

Some more animation testing! It has a slightly lower framerate since I kept adjusting it to what I was listening to lol.

I know I've been slacking when it comes to animating but hey! Something is better than nothing!

The scary part is it kind of looks like an animation meme... but the key controls are fun to play around with on OpenToonz too. :)

I think the one thing bothering me in the pilot is Zoe… she’s not supposed to do much (at least early on in the series) but giving her lines and having her still not do much feels off.

I’m also bothered that the series is called Record DEAL and so far there hasn’t been any deal.

If I were to rewrite the pilot to include time with Zoe and Danny making the main deal in the series and have it be more introductory would that be fine? I know it’d be a big change so…

FIRST DRAFT FOR THE RECORD DEAL PILOT SCRIPT!!!

I intend to add a sketch for that one scene and things are for sure subject to change but I got something down!

Do note it is supposed to be a horror comedy so there is some swearing and intense stuff (but nothing ridiculously violent I believe). It'd be a teen/TV-14 show if it was rated.

Please let me know what you think if you read it!!!

Also constructive criticism is fine (encouraged at this point, actually), just don't go overboard lol

I may be too worried about the Record Deal script (and either way, it could still be part of a show).

But regardless, if I can figure out how to share it, would any of you guys want to read it? I know it's most likely not the final version, so any feedback you guys could give would be very helpful. :)

Camera test with Danny!

I FIGURED OUT THE OPENTOONZ CAMERA.

I've always enjoyed animatics/storyboards that move the camera around, but I've been bummed that I've never been able to do that. Until now!

Of course OpenToonz is still complicated as all heck but I'm starting to get the hang of it. Maybe I'll (redo this and) make a the pilot teaser and/or intro sequence a band introduction thing?

My first rendered animation in OpenToonz! yes I know it looks silly I was just following a tutorial and didn't want to try too hard okay

I'm still working on the pilot script -I'm close to finishing, actually- but I realized that it would be way more efficient to animate on an animation program than Krita.

(As much as I'd like to have a team or something though I don't have the money lol... also I don't know how to do that either.)

Another clean animation! This one took me two hours (and it still doesn't play back right lol).

MY FIRST CLEAN ANIMATION WITH KRITA!!!!! Technically some of my other Krita animations have been colored but this time I managed to put in the effort to clean it up… line art and all. Shudder.

I do kinda like the colored version more though I messed up the hands at the end.

Also her hands are not both nubs but that's not important right now.
