My dreams as I started to pursue my career post grad were very simple. As a young girl, the idea of working in any of the many buildings in Downtown, was stuff of movies. Post grad, in the job interview that landed me the job I have today I was asked what were some goals or milestones I perceived for myself in the next few years. My response — I just want to have something, by me for the world to see.

So many people I met in college dreamt of financial independence, traveling, and enjoying the thrill of life. I just wanted to feel like I did something.

I don't know why that is. I don't know what it means. But I do know one thing. Everyday I am learning something new about myself, the differences that separate me from those around me but that also make me so unique and capable of loving and being excited about everyone around me. I am learning who I am and accepting it.

There are so many people in this world and everyone starts their self learning journey at different points and in different ways. For me? I've been thinking a lot, spending time with my loved ones and really asking myself hard questions.

My next dream? Learning to sit with it.

It has been a while since I took my camera places and felt happy with the result. These are taken on a Nikon CoolPix B700 DSLR I am not a fan of the camera—the reason why I don't use it too often.

I need someone to talk to about Latin Mafia, someone to cry with me to The Marias, someone to watch and rewatch every second of Bad Bunny's visual storytelling, and someone to sing along horribly to Natanael Cano.

I need someone to talk to about it all and ending the night with some house jazz. In the end, no words between us two.

I crave connection through music. I am not a musician, nor do I play an instrument. I am not an expert, nor do I know any. But I do feel music very deeply.

I've been a long time observer of Barrio Logan's Future is Color clothing and listening lounge. This weekend: featuring Kubo Coffee San Diego

with The Marias playing in the background it's a good spot to have a quick chat with friends, journal, or even read a book. It's quite small, but cozy!

Miso Honey Matcha Latte w/ Oatmilk:

Went in blind for this, and while it took me by surprise, it's butter-like sweetness with a hint of salt is unique and something I thought about for the rest of the day. I had to savour every sip—trying to decode what I was tasting.
