In a project whose title speaks for itself, brooklyn-based photographer henry hargreaves in collaboration with food stylist caitlin levin deep-fried a series of electronics equipment and foamcore models thereof. the series can be taken as a critique  on consumerist culture, in which working technological devices are frequently discarded in favour of newer versions.

"I realised those three pieces for the 2010's College Competition. City Harvest is a New York association which provides food for people in need in New York, thanks to the help of restaurants and food profesionals who give the association their useless food. City Harvest decided to create a new service : provide healthy food with an affordable price in the poor neighborhoods of the city. I chose to pick up 3 notable informations about obesity, junk food and bas alimentation in the USA, and illustrate them with the shape of pieces of junk food. "

The aim of the event is to inform of the damages and dangers of a increasingly widespread social problem: Junk Food. The main purpose is to inform citizens about a unknown and very underrated danger. The junk food is not just fast food. Many foods we eat every day are harmful for our body. So that’s why the communication of this issue is important; people should know what they can eat to not compromise their children’s health and their own.
