anyway the thing about fanfic is that it's not essentially bad or good; it's essentially amateur. some people are absolutely out there writing award-worthy prose (some fic writers ARE award-winning writers IRL!), but that's not the point. the point is that we're all telling campfire stories. it's a community, and it's a way to spend some more time in the worlds and stories that we love.

my hc for toshinori's dad ^_^ i based him off of the 46th yokozuna, Asashio Tarō III - ref pics and rambles about my thought process under the cut~

so now that we know what toshinori's mom looks like, i've been thinking about what his dad could look like. he gets his bangs and hair/eye color from his mom, so i'm thinking he must get his build and stature from his dad (and maybe the shaggy part of his hair) since he was already naturally tall and athletic before OFA.

so that made me think of sumo wrestlers. even before the height requirement, many rikishi are/were really tall (a list of the tallest) and bc of the nature of the sport and training, are super strong.

Asashio Tarō III, was known for his bushy brows and has a similar facial structure so he struck me as the perfect inspiration

“You intend to interview Tetsumi Inoshita again?” William Howard Wright asked, his sharp brows furrowing. He stood at the end of the conference table with a collection of files spread out in front of him and the rest of his team. His keen green eyes flicked to Naomasa and the two standing beside and behind him.

Sansa Tamakawa’s cat ears perked, and Alba Tyto turned her round owl eyes to consider the suspect board. Photos radiated out from the central image of All for One’s grinning half-face, a mugshot taken during his brief imprisonment in Tartarus. Directly connected to All for One was the sketch of the Good Doctor, a.k.a. Franklin Moreau, a.k.a. Dr. Tsubasa. Between them was pinned a photo of Tetsumi Inoshita. Threads connected her to All for One, Dr. Tsubasa, Rishi General Hospital, and a number of other clinics and medical facilities from her work history. The small, silver-haired woman glared out from her mugshot with a tight frown.

“Why?” Tyto asked and clicked her beak, “I remember the transcript of her initial interrogation. She turned down legal representation and refused to speak with anyone about herself or the accusations of her involvement with Yagi’s imprisonment.”

Naomasa stood at the head of the table and tapped a finger against the side of his coffee cup. Why try to get her to talk? She had stonewalled every attempt, and Naomasa told Toshinori as much.

For those who know me, I rarely do fanart for things as I tend to focus on my original content but ever since getting into My Hero Academia, I’ve been reading every single Dad Might fic I can find and stumbled across this series where All for One tries to turn Toshinori into a Nomu but let’s just say it didn’t quite work the way he wanted. Now he just made a more protective and dangerous dad. So much dad energy that compelled me into art! Can’t wait for future updates in the series.

Special note: So, it's been a bit. Six years flew by. Thank you for being so patient. Aoi and I are married now and recently celebrated our first anniversary. Life moves so fast, oh my god. Thank you to everyone who has stuck around to love and follow our series. Hello again.

Toshinori lay in the comfortable space between half-sleep and true wakefulness, breathing in the lingering scent of rose shampoo on the pillow. Dust motes hung in simple, glowing splendor, suspended midair in the shafts of morning light filtering in through the curtains. He sighed, content for this moment to watch the shining motes twist and trace the shape of his breath.

Toshinori couldn’t remember the last time he had slept so well. Between his nightly lapses and all he had seen at Yavin Central Clinic… All those unlucky victims chained to a wall, the dead-eyed noumu, the flash-bang of a gun in his face, and that young man slumped inside a hidden vault—Toshinori had assumed what little sleep he would manage would be plagued with nightmares. Yet here he was, nearly in the same position he had lain in to sleep.

From down the hall came clinks of ceramic and murmured ‘good mornings’ of a breakfast beginning without him.

Toshinori stretched his long legs, clawed toes splaying, and arched his tail with an indulgent groan. Then his knees popped loudly, and he reluctantly gave up on the frankly unrealistic idea of dozing for the rest of the morning.

Knuckles rapped quiet and sharp on the door.

“Come in,” Toshinori called, voice rough with first use.

“Yagi,” Aizawa cracked open the door and leaned inside, “Tsukauchi is going to drive us back to U.A.” 

Toshinori sat up and swung his legs off the bed, rubbing the remaining sleep from his eyes, “Right. Good morning, Aizawa.”

“Coffee or tea?” Aizawa asked, running his fingers over his scalp and untangling the mass of black hair around his shoulders. The rich aroma of coffee, eggs, and toast wafted into the room as he spoke.

Toshinori rocked to his feet and tugged the bedsheets back into place, sweeping them flat with his tail, “Tea for me, if it’s already made. Otherwise, water is fine. Thank you.” 

Aizawa nodded and left him to get ready, shutting the door behind him. He said something Toshinori did not catch as he walked back down the hall, his voice muffled and distant. From the kitchen, Naomasa… 

Naomasa…

Toshinori straightened, touching his cheek, and the corner of his lips tingled with memory. 

Oh. 

Naomasa had kissed him.

use flashpoint to play archived online flash games

find books, movies, games, etc. on the internet archive! for starters, here's a bunch of David Attenborough documentaries and all of the Animorphs books

burn your music onto cds

use pdf24 (available online or as a desktop app) instead of adobe

use unroll.me to clean your email inboxes

use thunderbird, mailfence, countermail, edison mail, tuta, or proton mail instead of gmail

remove bloatware on windows PC, macOS, and iOS X

remove bloatware on samsung X

use pixelfed instead of instagram or meta

use NCH suite for free software like a file converter, image editor, video editors, pdf editor, etc.
