the problem with reading and writing leading to a strong vocabulary is that you tend to know the vibe of words instead of their meanings.

my thoughts on the idiot

hi so i just completed the idiot by dostoevsky. suprisingly, i thought it was going to be easier to get into but i was wrong. it took me nearly 2 months to complete just because i couldn't get into it but i presevered and here i am. the plot was a little bit boring and the characters were the ones that were keeping me into the story. some conversations were long-winded and dragged on despits how small it is to the plot. while it still focused religion and psychology, it wasnt as deep as his others books and that depth is what i enjoy about his books (ippolit satisfied this category, i love his character depth for a side character). overall, the idiot is a beautifully written and fantastic book and i really liked it but it's not as great as i hoped.

also i absolutely loved the biblical symbolism of his characters which also was a key part of this novel. such an impactful and well written book. (i love myshkin)
