Realizing it’s not romance that I hate but overdone straight relationships with zero chemistry built on a slew of misogynistic tropes was like a huge revelation for me

What if she isn't blind and it's all a gimmick for immortality? Why would the grandson write her a letter, knowing she's blind?
She isn't.
She just slipped on a pair of sunglasses and manipulated him into giving her eternal life. Damnnn lady.

I low-key want a book of this. Manipulative, immortal grandma fucking shit up.
(Fr tho, this is a really sweet and sad comic :,))

- (any of the replies above) "Now I've thrown him off his rhythm."
- "Trick or treat?"
- "I thought I saw a Squirtle around here."
- "Long story short: worst game of hide-and-seek ever."
- "Wait a minute...this isn't the men's room!"
- "Fuck if I know."
- "Hiding from my responsibilities."
- "Well, there was this butterfly, you see-"
- "Ah, dammit, wrong lair."
- "That's classified."
- "I'm not answering that without my lawyer present."
My favorite thing in the world is characters getting caught places they’re not supposed to be and explaining themselves with the lamest possible excuses
“What are you doing in my secret base??” The villain cries
And the hero answers
- “Oh, I came in to get out of the rain”
- “I’m just sightseeing”
- “I thought this was the bowling alley”
- “um… would you like to buy some girl scout cookies?”
Or my personal favorite—
- “…You know, I’m not sure”

That...that was SO COOL. THOSE LAST TWO LINES THOUGH AHHH
I am: perplexed, though. 'The one who became me?' I mean, awesome line but my last two brain cells aren't having it. Can some Good Samaritan explain it in the comments?
The first time my parents let me pick a movie from dad’s VHS collection, my finger settled on a plain black case. I pulled it out and turned around as both my parents rushed to me and snatched the tape from my hands. “Sorry, but not that one, kiddo,” my dad said, while my mom took the tape to the basement.
“Why not?” I asked.
“Your brother finds it scary,” Dad said.
My parents kept the basement door locked from that day forward. They kept the key in their room, and I was warned sternly not to go in there. We never brought up the tape again.
Instead, I picked Disney’s Cinderella, and we alternated between animated and live action features. My parents weren’t even opposed to us watching horror films. I sat through The Exorcist, for instance. It was scary, I thought, but I could handle it.
We kept watching movies, even after dad was diagnosed with brain cancer. He changed his lifestyle around then, became something of a health freak in an attempt to stave off his illness. No matter what, we never missed movie night, though.
Then one day, he was gone. His collection of hand-picked video cassettes stayed behind.
It was shortly after his death that I came home from school and found the basement door open. Descending the stairs, I found Mom down there. She was going through Dad’s old stuff, and she smiled at me, asked me what I’d like to do with each of the things he’d junked in there.
I helped her out, and that’s how I found the tape in the black case again. I picked it up and left the basement stealthily while Mom continued digging through and probably reminiscing. I took the tape to my room and hid it under my bed.
Later, when Mom was out, I put the tape in the cassette player and hit rewind, bringing it all the way back to the start. Then I hit play, and sat a few feet back on the carpet, hands holding my feet. The white noise dispersed, and I found…
Myself. It was me, as a baby, playing in the bathtub. Then I was riding a horse toy with wheels. I was playing with a big children’s book. I was pronouncing my first syllables, and swinging my body to the beat of music. My parents were laughing.
The most important question this sparked for me was, “Did we ever have a video recorder?” I’d never seen or heard of one in this house. My parents were calling me in the video. It had to be me. They were using my name. My name. That was my body there. My body. Mine.
And then I saw it. The eyes were a different colour.
I tried to remember what it was that my Dad had told me about the cassette, and why we couldn’t play it. The memory came to me as I stared at the TV screen.
I had no brother. Except him, the one who became me.

Aoife Fanart/Sketches (feat. Toshiko)
One of my fave OC's, Aoife! Plus one Toshiko in the second pic.
(I know Aoife's supposed to be a redhead but. Blue hair tho. (make it blue!))
(And Toshiko is just. Idk i took a lot of creative freedom so it's probs as far from canon as possible.)
I can't decide which style I like better, the cartoony one or the sketch.

use comic sans to write
i hate this so much but this knowledge is too powerful to keep from you all.
last night @phaltu discovered that setting your font to comic sans in google docs improves writing speed and creativity by an insane amount. “no” i said and “die” but then i tried it and god. i wish it wasn’t this way. i wish it wasn’t true. i wish i could protect you all from this but it’s real.
something about this font is so disarming. something about this font lets you look past the shape of the words and into their soul. i’ve never written so much as i did last night, on my phone, at 2am, in comic sans.
if you have writer’s block. if you lack inspiration. if you need this. don’t be afraid to use it. sometimes the things we find most horrifying are also the things we need the most. trust me. let comic sans into your life.

Aria and Violet Fanart
Another typical day at the internship.
Gosh, I love them both so much. I couldn't help making a tiny comic.
(Sorry for the wrinkles, I accidentally stepped on it.)

Aria Sketches
Some crappy, unfinished sketches of Aria Bronte Williams, one of @thewrittenpost 's OC's.
I haven't finished coloring and it needs a LOT of changes - seriously, what is up with bottom right Aria's arms, what even-

Violet Fanart
My first attempt at fanart! My take on how Violet Thompson, from a WIP called The Villain's Intern by @thewrittenpost , looks like.
Fair warning: This is probably not at all what Violet looks like canonically. I just based it off Violet from the book series, the Thea Sisters. And the hair...is not violet at all. I'm not even sure if she wears glasses...
Eh, apologies for butchering Violet.
I have some sketches for Aria, Scarlet, Alba, Gwendolyn, and Acheflow too. They'll most likely be nothing like canon so eh

Coffee, Crime, and Calculus
Chapter 1:
she lives to see the sun, and feel the wind, and drink the rain
"She had wished too loudly and Life overheard."
Hey hey heyyy I wrote something for once. It's a fanfic based off of @thewrittenpost 's WIP: The Villain's Intern.
This fic's centered around her OC, Aria Bronte Williams. I love love LOVE Aria so I'll probably do more than one chapter. Maybe I'll even do one about another one of thewrittenpost's OC. Maybe Aoife? Aoife's awesome.
Imo, it seems very long-winded and ramble-y so sorry bout that sjksjsjs it's crap
This chapter is my take on how Aria got her powers. Hope you like it, thewrittenpost💙💛💙💛
