Did you see that big old oak?

When I walk outside I’m observing and inhaling nature in all her aspects. Always looking for details, something new, surprises, forms, shadows, light, movement and so on. I love to be outside, there is so much to learn!

What I have discovered is that where ever you are there is always somewhere a big old oak standing alone. A big gorgeous beautiful big, big oak. It rises above everything. Majestic and graceful.

This big oak sees everything, hears everything and feels everything of his or hers surrounding. From the people and animals passing by. From the people who take a rest under the oak and have a little conversation with eachother.

This big old oak spend you some shade when it’s hot outside, you can shelter under her leaves when it’s raining. He or she catches your thoughts, wishes and dreams. He stands there and defies everything. Whether it’s ugly or beautiful.

Not many people notice the power of that big old tree but next time when you pass one: stand still, admire him and thank him just for being there…

The eagle has landed.

Last year in the national park, some two kilometres from my house, we met an ornithologist. He is employed by the Government and his job is to take care of the birds and insects in this park. He needs to spot them, count them and map them. Several months a year he is daily at work in this national park. With his binoculars and his photocamera. He takes gorgeous pictures and is always willing to explain what he has spotted.

One day we asked him advice about binoculars. Wich one is the best to buy. He patiently explained and answered our questions. He let us look through his professional binoculars and camera. He asked whatfore we want to buy a binoculars and so on.

Well if you want to spot birds you are lucky this year! Do you know that an eagle has landed here in this park? It's very rare, normaly he would not fly over this area. But for some reason he landed here a couple of weeks ago. And because he has an abundacy of food here he decided to stay.

The friendly man explained everthing he knows about the bird and told us some tricks how we could recognize him and when it is the best time of the day you could spot him. We thanked the man and walked on.

Many days when we were walking in this park we have seen the eagle. Sometimes high in sky watching his hunting for food and sometimes when he was resting. Thanks to the good advice of the man we have bought a monocular and we are happy with it. We enjoy the beautiful and sometimes hidden secrets of nature.

Oh dear, oh deer!

Late June we had one of our most memorable meetings with nature. We were hiking in Germany. We had done the trip before but this time it was way different to the rest. My husband and I will never forget this beautiful and magic moment. It was so beautiful that it's hard to discribe.

We had walked for a 15 kilometre when my husband and I stand still because we saw something between the trees at a farm. The trees were about five metre to the road so we did not expect that beautiful animal. 

I whisper to my husband: is he real or is it a statue? I don not know he said. I think it's a statue. We looked again and I said: well, if it's a statue it's a very realistic statue. Beautiful! But I'm not sure, I think he's real. We stared at the deer and the deer stared at us. He did not move. He was about 170 cm.

I walked a few steps to see if the deer was moving with me with his eyes. But no, he did not. I cannot believe this, I said. He does not move perhaps it's a statue then. We kept staring at him, he was so beautiful. And those big dark eyes!

What a magical moment! 

Suddenly, after some minutes he moved one ear! Ohhh dear, he is real! Did you see that? Yes, beautiful, isn't it? How extraordinary! Wow! We are here standing staring at a real dear at five metres distance!

The dear was just as surprised as we were and finaly he moved slowly away. Oh dear, oh deer! We got tears in our eyes. This was one of those once in a lifetime moments! We thanked the deer that he gave us this precious moment and wished him good luck and a long life.

As long as we shall live we will never forget this magic moment and we always will remeber this precious moment. Thank you dear deer!

How about your pink cloud?

Yesterday I bought the Art.bundlesforgood. You get about 111 artistic courses, ebooks and a lot more. As you know I want to expand my artistic talents and I started with thevritualinstructor.com. This is a amazing membership site where you have access to incredible valuable art lessons.

I discovered that I’m good at portrait drawing with graphite pencil. I learned a lot about values, shadows, perspective and so on. I have learned also about wich paper I must use to get better results. There is a forum where you can share your art and get positive feedback so you can improve for the better. And I did improve my skills verry fast and good.

In the Art.bundlesforgood there is a course called 365 Activate your art brain. Well that is something I need. I’m a rational person and love to draw realistic things and portraits. But after a while you get a lack of inspiration and do the same things over and over. Or you see too little progress in your drawings. Time to get to a higher lever!

Change your envoirement and get new ideas so you become better and step further to the level of becoming excellent.

What I love about this challenge is that you have to create art every day. They tell you what to do and you can fill for yourself how you do the assigment. I start today annd the first assigment is to paint a pink cloud. Step into the world of: what if…

What if the clouds where pink, would the water also be pink?

I don’t know but what I do know is that I love to play and discover new areas. It relaxes me and makes me proud of me. I have painted a pink cloud! I love my pink cloud and my journey has started. I do not know where it will bring me but that is not important. The most important thing is that it makes me feel happy.
