Heya everyone! I'm excited to get to show a bit of the passion project I've been working on in the last year. These are the main characters of the middle-grade fantasy book I've been writing: The faun siblings Panmiel & Omelia and the satyr Hobkin!

Tidbits about the characters:

Omelia: Older sister, headbutting champ, headstrong, but always reliable.

Pan: Good-hearted & awkward young brother of Omelia. Hopes becoming a Full Horn will win him respect from his herd.

Hobkin: Mischievous & free-spirited. Friend or enemy?

Writing a book for kids and tweens has always been a dream of mine since I was little. I used to write a lot but when my storyboarding career launched, I found myself putting my writing aside to focus on that. But during this rough period of turbulence in the animation industry (and with some kind encouragement from the amazing @briannedrouhard) I found time to get back into a passion I used to love. Creating a world and characters of my own and doing sessions with my writers' group has been really healing during all the hardships of the industry in the last two years. I'm only about 5 chapters away from completing the story and I'm so excited to be able to share more!

Probably Going to Delete Much Artwork

Because of the new deal with Tumblr making a deal to allow MidJourney to scrape date, I'm planning to do a mass delete of much of my artwork. It kills me to do this as I will lose a lot of fun comments and tags, but I hate the idea of my art being used for ai even more. If I upload artwork, it will only be after they are put through Nightshade.

New life update! After a long, rough year, I'm finally back doing storyboards at Nickelodeon!

2023 has been rough, especially with all the heartbreaking world and industry events that have happened and some still ongoing. But there have been some good moments this year for me- visiting family, volunteering with animals, reading more, starting my own book and rediscovering my love for writing. And some new stuff is happening for me next year that I'm excited to share soon. I know 2024 will bring obstacles, but I really do hope that next year will also bring more opportunities, good fortune, and hope for all those who need it. So Happy New Year, friends!

As happy as I am to be seeing sweetheart Grover on screen, the unhinged, badass Coach Hedge will always be my favorite satyr of the series.xD I doubt we'll see the him, but fingers crossed for maybe a little cameo.

This year has been a rough year for many, including myself, but I'm happy to have experienced some positive, shining moments. I'm grateful to have managed to draw a bit of cute art this year.

A small tribute illustration to celebrate two new little goats born to Safarmi Sanctuary (where I volunteer at) over the weekend - the siblings Swordfish and Loveleaf. Loveleaf unfortunately passed away after enjoying one happy and love-filled day of life and will be remembered by everyone at the sanctuary. Luckily her brother is healthy and doing wonderfully.

Happy Friday!!! Thought it'd be fun to show a few board panels that I got to draw or do revisions/clean up for while directing on my last episode of season two of Santiago of the Seas- "Escalata's Little Sister." The original boards were done by the amazing Renee Faundo and other revisions were done by the talented Megan Ruiz G.

Fun fact- originally, me and my team's last episode to work on was supposed to be the baseball episode "Bad News Pirates". But due to the baseball one needing a bit more script time, the schedule was flipped. Honestly, it was for the better. I loved helping bring Kate V. Jorgensen's original character Rosita to life. It was a wonderful last episode to work on and so proud of how it came out.

Happy 3rd Anniversary to the premiere of Santiago of the Seas! I'm so thankful to have gotten to be part of the amazing SotS crew for it's current two seasons and help create such a fun and incredible series! Here's hoping for more in the future!

Happy Tuesday!!! Last week the musical episode "Investigate" I boarded for the Noggin series "Wild Words" released on Amazon Prime.
