🚨 Disclaimer on G/aiman: I love Crowley as a character and Good Omens became one of my top comfort fandoms for a long time, but: G/aiman has been (rightly) accused of SA and serious predatory & ab*sive behaviour by (at least) 6 women, a disgusting trend of ab*se spanning decades. I want to make it clear that G/aiman is, to put it quite simply, a r@p*st, an ab*ser and a f*cking piece of sh*t, following the pattern of too many famous men in positions of power who use silence and impunity as their main weapon, and I hope he keeps being on the receiving end of deserved consequences for his actions. I believe and support all survivors first and foremost as the first option, always.

Tintin shops in Madrid 🚀

A Spring-themed post with some flower embroidery practice from April 2022 😃🌸🍃✨! This design, embroidered on a scrap of gorgeous red-purple dupioni silk 💜, is based on a tutorial by Slowly_embroidery (IG/YouTube), adding more intense pinks and some purples to the original all-pink palette, and also changing the sizes 🌸🌷. This was my first time doing leaf embroidery practice, so some of them are wonkier and others are actually upside down 😅🤣. Also my first time (out of two projects so far) trying the double cast on stitch, and it also came out a little wonky and quite different from petal to petal, but I don't hate the results, all in all! . . 🌿Stitches: Outline stitch for the stems, straight stitch and a bit of satin stitch for the smallest flowers, French knot stitch for the centre of the flower, lazy daisy stitch and herringbone/fishbone/leaf stitches for the leaves, and the most ambitious stitch here, double cast on stitch for the larger flowers. . 2019 closet reenactment of an Irish warrior woman/sword woman (banlaoch, in Irish). Background is my pic of the Galician Castro de A Garda from 2011 (I know, a mix of Celtic inspiration all round here, but I really like that pic xD). Bonus last couple of pics of baby 2011 me in Sword-woman mode xD.

Fun fact, because of my Celtic culture enthusiasm one of my online aliases (in YouTube, for example) is “Sword woman Ríona”, Ríona ('queen, noble lady,’) being a close-ish version of my first name (Arwende in Quenya xD). Pity the closest Celtic-looking sword I had was a childhood’ Roman style’ small plastic one lol 😅😂.

➡️The wool checked cloak/mantle/shawl and brooch I got in Glasgow are also so gorgeous and perfect for Celtic reenactments ❤️

Very belated Imbolc ’s lá fhéile Bríde shona daoibh! The start of February marks the festivity of Imbolc, the beginning of Spring in the Celtic calendar, and it is celebrated in Ireland as Brigid’s Day 🎶☀️🍃 . Two more edits (coming to the end of this shoot!) of my 2019 closet cosplay/reenactment of the Irish goddess Brighid, solar fire goddess associated with poetry and inspiration, fertility and healing, smithwork, crafts and music, and warlike protection. New Tolkien cosplay/shoot alert ✨🌳🏰🌊! I've wanted to do a closet cosplay of a Númenórean OC since S1 of Rings of Power, so here it is at last, from August 2024, the first set of pics of my Mediterranean astrophysicist self as an Armenelos court astronomer (meneldilmë)/erudite OC 😄🔭⌛🌌🪐. Here featuring an hourglass (Númenóreans are also pretty stressed about time as a concept, aren't they😅), alongside sextants and planispheres and books and things 📚📜 Dress and belt are from Armstreet's Princess in Exile collection (not sponsored, i wish xD). The decoration gives me both Númenórean and Noldorin aesthetic vibes ✨💜.

The hairstyle is inspired by Eärien's main look in S1 of RoP. I interpreted it as two 3-strand side braids with purple parandas, tied at the back of the head with an elastic and then forming a half-up braided bun. When wrapping the braids around the elastic, I started wrapping both braids twice or thrice, then added a hairstick to fix them, and the rest of each braid is twisted around the hairstick more loosely, letting one of them hang a bit below the bun, similarly to how Eärien wears them. Finally, I used this blue beaded necklace as decoration, tying the strings around and behind the braided bun.

The full selfie roll of my Eregion Noldorin OC, my cosplay for the August 2024 première of S2 of The Rings of Power 😃✨🌿💍. . Also, cosplay hair - I went for a very similar style to the hairstyle I used for my Númenórean astronomer OC cosplay, inspired by Eärien's main style in S1 of RoP. Still, it turned out a bit different, with a slightly smaller braided half-up, and I also added a necklace with blue crystals as a circlet for the added Elven Noldorin look.
