Mount Buckhorn Saining Sticks now available! Wildcrafted from foraged Rocky Mountain Douglas Fir, Yarrow, and Ocean Spray. These herbs were collected from Mount Buckhorn just a few miles outside of the Springs. I had a bunch of fun identifying, harvesting, and drying these herbs to make these. Buena Vista, Colorado sits at 8,000 feet above sea level and runs parallel to the Arkansas River. Settled in the 1880's, many of the existing buildings date back to this time in history when gold was plenty and Buena Vista was a popular stagecoach stop. This quiet, little town sits at the foot of the Collegiate Peaks and two of Colorado's 14'ers, Mount Princeton and Mount Yale, can be seen with ease. We absolutely fell in love with our little day trip out to Buena Vista and it is the inspiration for our latest candle.
