You have to stop worrying about what others want from you. Stop asking yourself, "is this ok?" Stop telling yourself that you need to conform to be accepted. Stop letting yourself believe that no one else will understand you. Start taking chances. Start pushing your work. Start standing up for yourself. Let your creativity drive you. Let your mind guide you. Let your heart explore every crease. Let the world love you for it.
There's this beautiful energy in the studio in the mornings. The light is quiet, soft, and blue. My hands and mind are rested in the places they were worn yesterday. Work gets finished so fluidly. Solder flows, the torch hisses and the hammer pings are more of a song than a noise. I pull stones from the drawers my grandfather crafted. I sip from a mug made and gifted by a very treasured friend. And indy sleeps next to me in his bed on a shelf. There's so much love and concentration and happiness here. There's so much history in this tiny spot. This day is a gift. --------------- Twiggy bangles dipped in all that my garden holds. Twiggy rings to be kissed with sapphires and succulents.
And just when you think there's nothing left, a new piece of you blooms. You come alive in a place that had started to turn dark. You pull from ash and memory and you build something from every branch. Something too good to hide away. A gift for the part of yourself that you wore too thin. A letter saying, "I'm sorry." ❤️
The work of my heart. I am a huge plant hoarder. I especially love the rare stuff, but succulents are something that continue to amaze me. Everything about them just has me smitten with them. Ans so here they are- forever alive, propagated from my own backyard, cast in solid sterling. www.ashleyweber.com
I’ve been off of Tumblr for far too long! Time for a come back! :) Ambré (Amber ombré) and sterling silver succulents- cast from the real thing. www.ashleyweber.com
If you have ever seen the desert skies on a perfectly pitch black night you have seen one of the most incredible skies in the world. The universe completely dusted in glitter.
Shooting stars and satellites.
The desert sky so revealing.
This ring is an ode to that.
Each tiny star torched and hammered flat- soldered to the saddle.
My makers make proves it's an original.
A sweet slice of turquoise moon.
