guys I'm very high but I learned today that there was a study to determine if praying mantises could see in 3D (they are the only known invertebrates that do) and in order to figure this out the scientists made tiny 3d glasses to put on the mantis before showing it a movie of 'prey' moving across the screen. you can read more about it here but pleas look at th e tiny 3d glasses

sure your girlfriend's cool but has she somehow tamed the previously aggressive and aloof local cemetery pond turtles to know her by voice and feel safe enough to come out of the water and bask in the sun next to her because it means the coyotes won't come bother them as long as she's there and line up and politely wait their turn to eat a mealworm from her chopsticks and tap her on the foot for attention and let her separate them when they have little turtle fights over who gets the next shrimp snack. anyway I'm saying my girlfriend is turtle snow white and you should be so lucky

Nader Al-Anqar ( @abdalsalam2000 ) is a Palestinian teenager trying to raise money for his family of seven (parents, brothers, sister-in-law, niece, and nephew) to escape the genocide in Gaza, and for his father to get treatment for cancer.

He's been active on tumblr for a long while now, and was one of the first to have their campaigns vetted: #4 on the gazavetters list!

Nader and his family have lived through bombs, destruction, hunger, thirst and illness for so long, now. Recently, he was cut off from the rest of world with an internet blackout. Yesterday he nearly died today trying to get food for his family.

Nader and his family need our aid to eat, to survive, and to escape Gaza. Please help them.

The placard I've made for Pride this year! Wanted to support trans rights and be anti-lawn because I contain multitudes. It's a glitter-pocalypse and I've got to tell you that squeezing as much glitter as I could put of those little tubes was really good for channelling my trans rage.

Also I know that this is not the most anatomically/ecologically accurate meadow ever, but please don't @ me about it. I want to imagine a paradise where the mole might lie down with the worm.

Day 162: Garden Snail

The humble garden snail.... I've actually been saving this one. At my last workplace I was known for drawing them everywhere so I can draw one very quickly without thinking. I was saving that for a day when I've got no mental energy. Today was that day.
