You may have seen some shit going around about ‘Article 13’ and the fact that the European Union are in the final stages of PASSING THIS MONSTROSITY!!!

If you are confused about the subject matter, how you can help change the Article or how it could affect YOU (if you live outside of the EU) MatPat on the Film Theorists channel has done a very simple, informative video (it’s #1 on trending you can’t miss it).

We need to fight back against this and help them change the language of the Article before it’s too late.

1. Look up that video by MatPat, it pays to be well informed.

2. Spread the word and make content about it!!!! Use Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, this hellsite and anything else you can think of and use the hashtag #SaveYourInternet

3. If you’re in Europe contact your MEPs that supported Article 13 (remember to find out why), I know I will, keep their inboxes full of calm, well thought-out arguments as to why the language of the law will cause a huge detrimental effect and needs to be changed

Educational channels

Music

Animation channels

Memes

And many more things across the Internet that I don’t have the time to put in a list and is much better explained by MatPat.

GAMES ARE ON NETFLIX!!!

So, I was watching Goosebumps on Netflix, when the episode ended. Next to the ‘Next Episode,’ I saw Minecraft Story Mode. I clicked on it and BAM! IT WAS A GAME!! ON NETFLIX!! So  far I made it to half of EP 2. (I like the music, carachter and Wither Storm. And story too!) Thanks for reading!

Hey, if you’re of age and you live in Europe, contact your representatives and tell them that you don’t want Article 13 to be approved. Article 13 will give big companies a stricter grasp on their copyrighted material, which means fan-content—such as fanart, fanfiction, memes (that includes animation memes!) and gifs—can be filtered and blocked. 

Even if you don’t live in Europe, other countries will be affected, too, because not only will we not hear much from our European friends, but our countries may follow suit with Article 13. Remember when almost every website on the planet was updating their privacy policies? That was because of GPDR, a law that was passed in Europe.

So again, please contact your reps if you’re in Europe. If you’re not, 

do your research, and spread the word! 

As somebody who loves to draw and share fanart, it’d mean a lot to me.

Tumblr has made and official statement on twitter about what’s going on:

We’re committed to helping build a safe online environment for all users, and we have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to media featuring child sexual exploitation and abuse. As this is an industry-wide problem, we work collaboratively with our industry peers and partners like NCMEC to actively monitor content uploaded to the platform. Every image uploaded to Tumblr is scanned against an industry database of known child sexual abuse material, and images that are detected never reach the platform. A routine audit discovered content on our platform that had not yet been included in the industry database. We immediately removed this content. Content safeguards are a challenging aspect of operating scaled platforms. We’re continuously assessing further steps we can take to improve and there is no higher priority for our team.

Please please please, for the love of everything, stop spreading fear in our community. They are not purging your blogs for having NSFW content. If your blog gets deleted and you didn’t have any of the above mentioned content, or something that could be percived as such, then please contact Tumblr Support to regain your blog. They can be contacted via the form here.

Scientist: *falls into Room 3* Oh, a pistol! A bit rusty... *Fires at broken Elevator door* Elevator is broken. I’ll have to jump. *jumps* ARGH!! My legs! I... Can’t... Jump...! *limps to a first aid kit and grabs a new gun* Ah, a new weapon. Hope it helps me. *walks into Room 9*

???: Wait, there's one more! We can’t let him escape! Eliminate him!

Nightmare Boy: *sighs* wish I could. 

Everyone: *fighting fiercely*

Nightmare Boy: *kills all bad guys in one shot, leaving Wild-Man* Its over, Bob.

Wild-Man: How DARE you?!

Nightmare Boy: Do you know how many people were injured, because of you? They died! Josh, Seth, David, The Kid Spies, and innocent people! Your mama did NOT raise you like that!

Wild-Man: *shoots a poison-dark ecence-ball at Nightmare Boy*
