Ok so when I write stuff I always make Nightshade he/him because that’s is what comes naturally for me. But I am not a non binary hater. I have had people block me for trying to explain this so that is why I am anonymous.

I just want to say NiGHTSHADE YOU ARE AWESOME AND EVEN IF SOME PEOPLE LIKE ME DONT USE YOUR PRONOUNS WE LOVE YOU ANYWAY. I LOVE YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH

Anon, I’m not going to be overly rude here, and if I come off as such, that’s not my intention, though I am a little vindictive here. But I’m going to be wholly honest here: not using someone’s preferred pronouns, and ignoring them in favor of what’s more comfortable for you personally, is actually very disrespectful, and it does not demonstrate love.

Now, for the moment, I’ll give you a pass, because I definitely understand if you haven’t had much time and experience to get used to it, so you’re new to writing them, I was there too, but please at least try to work on using they/them/their for them, and in future asks you send please refer to them as a they/them. It doesn’t have to be an overnight transformation, but work on it. I’m sure if you try, give yourself some time, and start working on it, soon it will come naturally like nothing.

And for the record, when I say I understand, I remember when I was first writing them way back when the series came out - while they’re all drafts within my Wattpad books, and I always went back to correct myself, just to enforce that self-policing I was doing to make sure I got them right - I used to use gendered pronouns for them sometimes too.

It was a slip, and I really never meant to be hateful, or spiteful. Most characters had always been gendered in some form, so that’s what I was subconsciously used to.

But, as I wrote, and wrote, and the more I thought of them as a they/them, the more that tendency to gendered terms slipped away, and now calling them a they/them/their is so natural I don’t even really have to think anymore.

This proves obvious from how since then, I have lots of lovely NB characters, such as:

Knockout, Trans Genderfluid - She, her, they, and them are most common, but occasionally uses he, him, and his.

Dragstrip, Demifluid - They/Them, occasionally also he/him

Mesothulas, Agender - They/Them

Unnamed Getaway/Atomizer Kid, Genderless - any/all pronouns; gender what’s that? who needs one, that shit’ll weigh them down. as far as anyone else is concerned, their gender is anarchy, and they identify as a threat to the government.

Evac, Bigender - He/him and They/them

So trust me, if you start to focus down on calling them they/them/their, it will become easier! Just work on it, and slowly with a little bit of time it’ll practically be second nature soon.

YOU'RE BACK! Where have you been? And tell the Terrans I said hi!

Yeah, I kind of am. I got really focused on writing fics, and this just sort of fell off to the wayside by accident. And I also started watching Criminal Minds with my mom, so I’m not really focused on my phone because I have a TV show I really like in front of me.

But I’m gonna get onto answering those asks that have been piling. Don’t worry! I’m fact I’ve developed some ideas an HCs, that I’ll be sharing. ^^ And a very fun announcement too! 😉

I answered anon’s there quick, because I felt that last one was important, because I sometimes ‘phobes pop up in the places you’d least expect, and I don’t want them around, or at least not interacting. My support of Nightshade should make that very clear. (I’m not calling anon an enbyphobe, but I am aware there’s at least one of this blog’s followers who is. No no, don’t worry Anon! I understand! I’m sure you meant it like that, but since they’re still so new to the world and haven’t experienced any -phobia yet, they’d probably be confused why you’re concerned about them, as they simply naturally feel that that’s who they are, why would they ever feel bad about it? Especially when no one’s ever made it out to be a bad thing at any point? (Which for the record, I mean no one’s villified it, because being nonbinary is not a bad thing at all!)

So really, don’t worry! You haven’t made them feel bad, they’re just confused by the distinct lack of it ever being before, and now someone is expressing concern. So it’s confusing to them more than anything else. ^^

Okay, um, UT here —

I’m gonna be wholly honest: I view the Terrans as being children, and their behavior could vary all the way from maybe ~13ish, to toddlers, and Bumblebee is a young adult, so I am- it’s really really not my cup of tea.

Even so, I HC Bee as AroAce in most continuities - in ES I’d put him as Demi or Gray, oriented towards guys - and Twitch as AroAce as well. So even so they just- they don’t work imo.

She probably looks at him like a bonus family member, or teacher, and he looks at her as his student.

And I do hope you know, you can look up to people, and have idols, and not want to be involved with them like that. You can have friends and not want to do that. You can have close relationships with other people and not want to do that.

So I ehm… that’s really all I have to say…

Wait, swear jar? Now I have to know Who 'tips' the swear jar the most? Who does it the least?

Twitch: I mean, it’s not really a consistent thing, especially since they usually use it to set little miniature goals, so if it’s something we like, then it only encourages us, honestly. So… a scolding and week or so without video games is more likely selection.

Jawbreaker: Yeah… they all get heavy into it. I prefer to stay out of it.

Twitch: It’s a hard tie between Thrash and Hashtag. They’re just the two who swear the most in front of mom and dad.

Jawbreaker: Ironically, Nightshade tips less than you do, Twitch…

Twitch: yeah, them and Tarantulas have an unspoken agreement that they don’t rat each other out for swearing. Mom and dad have to be there to catch them do it, and they can usually keep their lips sealed for the short amount of time they’re in the bunker.

Twitch: but they also don’t rat on us, either, so… it’s a fair trade.

Jawbreaker: oh.

Twitch: so, in summary, yeah we have a swear jar, but it’s not the most consistent thing in the world, Thrash and Hashtag swear and tip a lot, and Nightshade and Tarantulas swear a little too but they don’t do it front of mom and dad and don’t tattle on us when we do it.

Ok this is a weird Biology question about the Terrans, since they seem to have like a weird mix between humans(Being able to eat, needing water, closer to human size) and Cybertronians(Metal bodies, the ability to transform and built in weapons) does that mean they'll experience puberty at some point?

Megatron: Obviously, they most likely will. They’ll probably go through similar processes to both our own, and humans, may possibly even develop their own specific to their subspecies as Terrans.

Tarantulas: If I may call in an expert to help us, to more professionally answer this question~

Knockout: Ah. So all five would be like them, just different alts, and such, I’d presume.

Knockout: With all this context, since I’ve been doing work and practicing on both cybertronians and humans, I’ve seen my fair share.

Knockout: From what I got from Nightshade, I can successfully say, yes, they’ll definitely go through adolescent developmental processing, quite similar to our own various kinds. To what extent or degree that may include humanity’s own, I can’t tell.

Knockout: They’ll probably experience it a lot sooner than ours, but definitely later than humans.

Knockout: So far, the only problem I’m personally seeing with the Terrans, is the possibility they’re all quite oblivious. At least, if we are to take example from Nightshade’s oblivity, lacking the slightest hint of what lay behind their panel.

Megatron: They’re newsparks, Knockout. They hardly need to know their frames may have… extra bits, at their age.

Knockout: They should know for hygiene’s sake! At the very least! I would not like to have a youngling crying in pain on a table before me, because you didn’t educate them about their frame, and how to keep it clean, and now they have an infection of some sort, or something. Or they got themselves in over their head, with weird, brand new feelings, and decided it’s such a good idea to shove the nearest phallic object up their-

Tarantulas: Twitch is a flying ‘drone’ as the humans call them, Thrash is a motorbike with a side car, Hashtag is a GHOST van, and Jawbreaker is a dinobot beastformer, then Nightshade, of course, as you already know, is an owl beastformer.

Thrash isn’t jealous, he’s just kind of rough around the edges, and prefers to keep his affection in an almost tough love kind of way. Like classic siblings calling each other morons from across the house, but they’ll go to bat and ball the moment anyone else gets involved.

He loves Nightshade to death, truly he does, but it’s not hard to get a little more than a touch exhausted/exasperated from the melodramatic way they talk, especially when they get enough of that from Tara and Megs.

Nightshade however is used to it, and likes that he’s always certain to use smart people when he does that. He acknowledges they’re smart, he’s just tired of their theatrics. They’ve started to take it as both a reminder and a compliment in one.

It’s an odd dynamic but it’s theirs, and they work with it. If ever the need they’ll change it up so there’s no hard feelings. :).
