“Hmngh, me neither.

The weather man said it’d be clear skies today so I didn’t think to bring it…” After a moment of silence, her eyes widen, she’d forgotten to introduce herself!

“Oh, right!! My name is Shinohara Seiko, nice to meet you!” She says, giving a bow to the other.

 She bowed back at the girl politely.

 “Emi Urabe, n-nice to meet  you too…” she said, a tiny smile forming on her face. Maybe this person wasn’t bad.

 “I d-don’t recognise your uniform…” she tried to keep the conversation going. “Which school are you from?”

  Emi panted quietly, running as fast as her little legs could, holding her bag above her head as to protect herself from the rainstorm. The day started out normal, barely any clouds in the sky, so she naturally assumed a umbrella wouldn’t be necessary, but weather took a mean turn as she was coming home from school…the sky was practically black, and the wind was almost blowing her cheeks off!

  She quickly hid under the nearest covered area, a bus stop, even if was covered the water still managed to somehow get into the floor. Well, as long as it wasn’t soaking her…she looked outside and sighed, it’d be a while before she could get home it seemed…

  She looked around and spotted a girl she hadn’t noticed before, she also seemed to have been coming home from school, her state not much different than her own. “Oh…!”

“Hm?” Upon hearing the voice of another girl next to her, Seiko turned her head in the direction of the voice, quickly meeting eyes with her. “Oh!!” She jumped, slightly startled, but quickly regained her sunny composure. “Oh, hey! Crazy weather huh? Hehe, lemme guess, you forget your umbrella too?” She asked cheerfully despite the circumstances.

Seiko tilted her head to the side. “Wasn’t Suzume-chan here earlier?” She asked. “Honestly I thought you and Suzume had maybe  planned on dancing together or something hehe, I bet you could sweep her off her feet if you tried, what with you  being as handsome and tall as you are!~” Seiko encouraged, elbowing him lightly.

Slowly but surely he began to inch his way towards the next room. Perhaps it would be quieter in there.
