Invisible
Another day, another journey
I wonder where this route will take me
Will I find what I’ve been looking for?
My favourite seat and the same routine
Watching people who aren’t what they seem
Dreaming of a life that’s so much more
And while they’re caught up in their story
I’m left behind as they ignore me
They label me rude, rigid and robotic
In a world that’s cruel, crowded and chaotic
Almost like I don’t exist at all
I’m left behind - I’m invisible
I don’t want to create any fuss
In my world at the back of this bus
They might think that I’m trying to hide
I also have dreams, deep down inside
Whilst ignorance is forgivable
I’m still here but invisible
Call me blunt, call me eccentric, call me weird
The kid who’s always laughed at and jeered
Call me odd, call me quirky, call me strange
Yet I’m not the one who needs to change
It might take more than a miracle
All I want is to be visible
Instead I’m left lost and lonely
Left in my world of “if only”
All because, in the end
All I want is one friend
To be together and free
To share this journey with me
But I’ve always been invisible
Who cares if I exist at all?
