Ace HCs

it's been a bit since i did more headcanons so i figured i'd do Ace :]

if anyone has suggestions on who i should do headcanons for next lmk! I'd like to get to everyone at some point but there are some characters i don't know enough about yet asdfhkdjk (im only on book 5 😭)

ipad kid. Crusty, cheetoh dust covered fingers ipad kid. Ace usually has sticky or dirty fingers from chips or whatever else and is constantly reminded to go wash them

Arcade fiend. He spends all his money on tokens and hardly wins any tickets. He also loves those little gacha machines that are a couple quarters in stores (he gave Yuu a plastic ring from once)

Wears crocs and slides majority of the time & Riddle screams at him when he does it with his dorm uniform

Severe self-esteem issues, he's good at hiding it but he often thinks of how he is a "weak link" and how the others will probably leave him behind some day. He can spiral quickly into panic attacks but it's usually why he gets into shenanigans, to distract himself (sorryyy i had to give at least a bit of angst, i've seen too many fics where ace is incredibly self depricating not to)

He loves origami and is quite skilled at it, he makes swans, dragons, and roses for his dormmates and friends on the regular (Riddle keeps every single one in his room, he appreciates it incredibly when his juniors, or anyone, gives him a gift)

Ace will bring up controversial topics just to start an argument. He'd probably be good in a debate team but he doesn't think it'd be as fun

Has faked sick to get out of dorm chores. Yuu dared him to use a different excuse every time he wants to get out of them so now his excuses are getting wilder and wilder

I forgot this was in my drafts from a couple days ago ngl. How is everyone's last few days of school- or summer to you lucky people? ONE LEFT!!! Today and then tomorrow will be the last! But theyre half days and no ones going to go anywaayyyy but i digress.

3 Days Until Summer

There are three days until summer, and I am clawing at my skin the ink on my fingers has dried yet I don't feel like an artist When there were four days until summer, I awoke with an ache in my chest and every word was a spiteful bite when I hurt, they hurt, and I hate to apologize This year I have loved, and loved and hurt I have had my heart wrenched out and I fill it back with ink the hollow cavity is stuffed with pens and sheet music My words fall from my throat onto "Untitled document" I play with Lady Luck, my temperament fails to endear her and I fear, that once my footsteps echo their last clack in these halls, that a document in 12 point, Times New Roman font, will be concluded.

i think my favorite thing about Riddle is he's smug because he KNOWS he's good at magic and academics

he constantly studies and has a powerful unique magic, he's top of all his classes (probably the year too lets be honest) so he deserves to be smug

Riddle reminds me a lot of myself so i think he'd be devastating the way i get if he doesn't understand a concept, but unlike myself, he would use that to fuel his study sessions and work until he completely understands the ins and outs of a subject

bro does not get the sophomore slump that i'm currently having 😓

i relate to him in many aspects, especially with academic expectations put on me by both myself and others (it's mostly just me having them for myself though ngl, i think Riddle is similar)

he craves academic validation and feels incredibly stupid when he doesn't meet his own expectations and has a tendency to beat himself up over it

am i projecting? Yes. Do i care? Not at all i love Riddle so much and im a weird mix of him, floyd, and probably idia idk

Floyd and Kalim are sprinkle fiends

with Floyd the sprinkles are half on the food, half on the floor, and half in his mouth. either way there are no sprinkles left

Kalim does not spread out the sprinkles. there is just a mountain of them on top of whatever is being made- cake, cupcakes etc. they also get all over the floor, it's so bad to the point Jamil banned him from sprinkles

Admittedly I have done Riddle before here (not many people saw it, probably because of the massive amounts of text) , but looking back, I am not proud of that design either way. It's not shape-y enough

I went full little prince theme with Riddle here this time and removed the other stuff I referenced back then. I wanted his clothes to look like they're eating him up a bit to show that his responsibilities are a little too much for him. And I made him thinner...except for his cheeks which I need to keep chubby or else.

And Che'nya is a punk! (Albeit I'm not 100% on his color palette...it's good for now!) I don't know too much about this guy sadly, other than he's Riddle's childhood friend along with Trey and that he's a little quirky...
