Astrid’s story is a common one: abandoned when she was less than two months old with her brothers and sisters, in Latina, Rome. One day, the best day of my life, I found here on the Internet and me and my family decided to adopt her. She travelled for 6 hours and we travelled for 3, with my mom recovering from a minor concussion. I love her with all my heart, she’s my best friend and she saved me and still saves me from depression. I think that if I didn’t have her I wouldn’t be here right now. Unfortunately she has knee dysplasia to both her knees; when she was almost a year old she had surgery to one, and now that she’s almost three years old she needs to have surgery to the other, which cost €600. But my family and I are struggling to live right now as it is and won’t be able to find the money. We have to decide wich bills to pay every month and pay rent, we try to eat less and cheap, I never ask my parents for money and I never really go out because I don’t wanna spend money we don’t have, and my mother is dealing with cancer so the little extra money we had is for her treatmen. I’m asking for help only for my dog. I won’t touch a euro of this, it’s all for Astrid, because she deserves the world and she needs this surgery, as soon as possible, or else she will be in great pain and won’t be able to run and jump and be the beautiful dog that she is. I beg you, I’m scared to death to lose her because we won’t be able to pay for her surgery and I just can’t. Even just 1€ or 1$ would help. Please. She’s all I have.
