Old photos, dream land was demolished last year. I'm gutted that ill never get to wander this beautiful place again.

Nara Dreamland. Nara, Japan
It was a cold and rainy January day and a rather lame day to take decent photos. I’d heard mixed things about this place being an easy mission. One explorer I know has been chased off by security before, whereas other friends had done this haikyo with no incident.
The park was oddly beautiful in the dreary morning rain. And after a long night of trying to find the place and sleeping under a bridge, I made my way into the park through a flaw in the fence that I exploited. I’m usually pretty wary when I explore places that see as much urbex traffic as this one, so I took a lot of time with it and crept slowly. I think my caution prevented me from exploring the structures too heavily, I mainly wanted to snap some photos of the rides and get out. Fortunately I didn’t see a single person, so next time I’m in Nara I think I’ll be a little less paranoid.

Nougakogen, Abandoned Resort, Hatsukaichi Hiroshima.
I explored this on my last day in Japan with a very dear friend of mine who used to come here many years ago when she was a little girl. It was fun to see her begin to have small recollections of her time spent here as we picked our way through this massive ruin.
Finding the place was a pain, seeing how the directions were very vague. But after being led across two ridge lines and up a mountain, we eventually came across an old road that took us to the place.
The structure was in deep stages of decay and much of the roof had collapsed, making many stairwells inaccessible. The place felt like a large maze that rewards the explorer with an incredible view of Ajina and Miyajima.

Hi, was thinking of doing some urban exploration at Kyushu coming December. Not sure if you have any recommendation? Like shidaka utopia?
Kyushu is a part of the country I haven't explored too heavily. Other than Shidaka and stuff around Beppu I really have no idea, but I'd like to learn more. Share photos of what you find.

Old Changi Hospital, Singapore. This hospital was used as an internment camp by the Japanese during their occupation of Malaysia during WW2. Many POWs; English, Australia and America were tortured here by the Japanese secret police. The structure was silent, only the sounds of the jungle that have reclaimed most of the place could be heard. It was a thought provoking experience to set foot on the grounds where my great uncles comrades had been tortured and beaten to death. Fight war, not wars. Destroy powers, not people.

Nothing like an apartment tower under construction to provide you with a good view of the city. Little security. Somewhere near Southern Cross.

Pentridge prison, Melbourne. Was a fair bit of scrambling over razor wire in the rain, but worth it to see Choppers old stomping grounds.

Abandoned Onsen, Onura Japan I'd heard about this place from a friend and went exploring one night after work. The ryokan has been derelict for about 20 years. After the initial owners died and left the property in the hands of their son who was unable to save the establishment. The doors were shut and this place has sat quietly along route 2 for a couple of decades. The video games left made for a good subject as did the remains of some animal neatly placed on a sofa.

Abandoned mental asylum in Melbourne (#86 towards the end). Made for a fun and easy adventure. The massive amount of graffiti sort of ruined the potentially creepy atmosphere for me. ).
