Autism has long been synonymous with "struggle". If you don't struggle, if you're successful or you're just happy with life people are less likely to recognize you as autistic, except for other autistic people.

I swear, we have an autism radar. Autie-radar? Autie-dar?

I'm seeing more and more teachers today who actually want to help their autistic students, they just don't always know where to get the best advice.

I'm just hoping that those teachers look towards autistic advocates to find the answers they need.

I have several friends who've had to deal with being called liars who are trying to "cheat the system" for years simply because they use mobility aids.

It's scary that this kit exists. It compares autism to cancer, tells parents to not accept their child's autism, tells them to mourn their VERY LIVING child because they're not neurotypical, and on and on. It's so disturbing.
