Finally! After many lessons here we are to the last part of the module. Module 7 is about Writing Process. In this module, I will share my thoughts and the definition of the Blog, and the Steps in the Writing Process. Let's go!
Writing is fun for me, why? Because I enjoy it when I write. Writing helps me to improve my imagination and gives me so much happiness when I write.
Before we go to the step of writing I will discuss first the Writing System. Let's start! The Writing System is simply defined as a technique of visual expressing spoken communication that is based on a script. There are many forms of writing systems. These are Logogram, Phonograph, and Pictograph.
A logogram is the oldest type of writing system. It uses symbols to represent a complete word. Next is the Phonograph which is the device that recorded the sounds it is an old-fashioned machine. and lastly, The Pictograph has represented the frequency of data while using symbols or images that are relevant to the data. It helps the people to make statistical data.
These are the process of writing. To have an amazing piece, First, you should have time to rewrite your story to make wonderful ideas out of it, you should also think and be wise by making a decision. The Second Step is When you are writing you should have a plan and make an outline to make your work more console and decent, if you have spare time you can make research to make sure that you're doing well. The Third Step is to Have a Draft and construct your own terms using the information you gathered during your investigation, even though you feel like you're wrong you should keep writing because --- The Fourth Steph is about Revising to make your work better. Keep writing, you should replace the words that you overuse so that your work will be nice. And the Last Step is about Editing and Proofreading until you make it right. You must check your words, capitalization, spelling, and punctuation, and lastly check your format to avoid making a mistake.
The last topic that I've discussed is a Blog. The blog is an online journal that gives us information. I learned that when you visit a blog site you can browse the app and you will learn and understand certain posts. When you visit a Blogsite you will see a picture, videos, and some quotes that will help to improve your ideas and thoughts. You can also make friends with this app.
I hope that you learned from my reflection. Have a nice day! Enjoy reading!

For this module, I will write my reflection about the Forms and Types of Creative Nonfiction to help other people to understand this topic. Reminder! This definitions is based on my understanding if you need some information you can search it on google.
There are many forms and types of creative nonfiction it includes the Autobiography, Biography, Journal, Diary, Letter, Memoir, Literary Journalism/Reportage, Reflection essay, Testimonio essay, and Travelogue.
Autobiographies are the same as biographies except for one key difference: the story of a person's life is told by that person. It is a person tells the story of his or her own life. Because of this, autobiographies are told in first-person point of view. This means that the narrator is in the story and uses the pronouns I, me and my. However, Biography is a true story of a person's life that is written by someone else. It is written about famous individuals or someone who has made an important impact on society. A Journal is about daily written record of personal experiences it is based on facts and you can for several years. A Diary can have a person's deepest secrets and desires; as such, it is usually not meant to be shared with anyone. A letter is a written message addressed to a person or organization. Letters often contain personal thoughts and opinions, but they are directed at just one person. Letters are never really meant to be published and are usually discarded once the message is received. Emails can be considered a more advanced type of letter. Memoir is a centralized and more specific storytelling it is more focused, telling the story of somebody’s life, focusing on an important event that occurred at a specific time and place. A Literary reportage is the art of blending documentary, reportage-style observations, with personal experience, perception, and anecdotal evidence, in a non-fiction form of literature. A Reflection Essay is a personal experience. Therefore, the tone and voice of the writing are personal as well. Written typically from a first-person point of view, these types of essays take the reader through a journey of growth and discovery. Testimonio essay is a form of creative nonfiction that is generally defined as a first person narration of socially significant experiences in which the narrative voice is a typical or ordinary witnesses. And lastly is A travelogue it is an essay-type piece of writing, it is also a diary of a person's journey to another place. So all rules for essays work here too. There are three elements: introduction, main body, and conclusion.
To summarize what I've learned in this topic is it helps me to acknowledge that difference types of creative nonfiction so now I can use my own reflection essay.
this is the example of my own reflection essay
I thought it was a Best Day, but it turned out to the “Darkest Moment” in my life
Having a problem is a part of a person's life. Some people said that "you are strong and have a faith in the Lord, The Lord will not forsake you." I have a strong faith in him but, my faith suddenly become weak and I questioned him. "Why did he let me experience that?" The Darkest moment in my life started when I was a 14-year-old girl. On May 5, 2017, my Auntie (my mother's younger sister) invited me to go with them because they planned an outdoor activity (swimming) that will set on the next-next-day (May 7, 2017). My family didn't want to go but my mom said that " You can be with them, but don't leave your aunt's side. So, there's nothing bad will happen to you." I was happy and excited because that's the first time she let me leave At as though they aren't going with me. I prepared my things and my mother helped me to do it, and she takes me to my auntie's house on the evening of May 6, 2017, so that she let me sleep at her sister's house.
On May 7, 2017, we arrived at Hidden Sanctuary Resort at exactly 11:00 A.M. My cousins and I immediately go to the bathroom so that we can change our clothes. We are so happy at that moment, we toured the entire resort. 3:10 in the afternoon the wave in the pool has started, We are so happy at that time, I feel relaxed, I also feel like I'm free and I thought it was the best day of my life. But, the "Best Day" turns out to the "Darkest Moment" in my life. At exactly 3:30 P.M an old man suddenly came and he touches and squeezes my private part. I immediately punch her shoulder and I cursed him and I started crying that caught the attention of many people in the pool. They ask me what happened, then I'd told them what happened that time, they immediately call the manager of the resort and the manager called the police. At first, He's denying and he said that I was making a story but I'm not and I was traumatized. Then we arrived at the Malolos, Bulacan Police Station, and the Policewomen asking me a lot of questions. I am cold and I can't stop myself crying, and his family gets mad at me because they think that I was making a story.
On that day, I feel like it was a long tiring day. I was traumatized, I had a trust issue especially in men. I can't sleep at night and I'm afraid to talk to boys even though they are my relatives. It also affecting my mental health that leads me to think about killing myself. Honestly, until now, that moment is still fresh in my mind. While I was writing this activity, my tears are falling, I can't stop myself crying, I feel like it happened yesterday. But now, I'm still in the process of moving on. I also questioned him "why he let that happened". This experience gives me a lesson, I realize that "everything happens for a reason". To all people who experienced sexual harassment/abuse and other problems, please keep fighting and be strong! we can do it because we have a Lord beside us and our family also needs us because our fight is also their fight. Ajja!

So, Hi guys this module is all about tips of using literary convention of a Genre in Writing. Please take time to read this so that you will gain additional thoughts about writing.
In writing a short stories you must have a catchy paragraph to catch the attention of readers with the unusual, unexpected action, or a conflict. Begin with tension and immediacy. As a writer you must have a character to complete the story. The appearance, action of the character, speech, and thought is a very important details in a story. As a writer, you need to determine who is going to tell the story and how much information is available for the narrator to reveal in the short story. The narrator can be directly involved in the action subjectively, or the narrator might only report the action objectively. Being a Writer you must write a meaningful dialogue and having a setting, a good plot. You must create also a conflict and tension to make your story exciting. And build a Climax so that the reader will be more excited to your story, and lastly Resolution. At the end of your story, you must have a solution to the conflict to resolve the problem in your story.

This module 4 is all about truth and creativity in creative nonfiction. Before we start I will share to you my thoughts about the creativity. First, What comes to your mind when you hear the word Creativity? This information was came from my own understanding so please bare with me.
Creativity is the ability to produce or recognize ideas, possibilities that may be useful in problem solving, communicating with others, or entertaining ourselves and others. To be more specific, Creativity is the ability to create something new and useful. I know that all of us are creative but they didn't know how to use it.
In this topic, I will share to you how to make a creative nonfiction narrative. I hope that when you read this my reflection your knowledge will expand.
Factual is based in facts that includes an actual details or true information. So, when you are writing you must check your works so that you didn't give false information to your readers/audience. Because Factual is Based on Facts.
Non Factual is based on imagination of the writer to make a creative work and to take the attention of readers or audience. If you are writing a non factual, your imagination will help you to create a creative work.
Non Fiction Contract is an agreement between the writer and the reader. The writer shall write the facts without fictionalizing any part of the story.
Over all, I learned a lot to this topic because I really love writing, it helps me to understand the meaning of Factual and Non Factual. To all the new writers out there please, get some research to make your story more creative.

This is the Third module that I will discuss with you, but it came from my knowledge and my understanding. This is my reflection work about the Creative Nonfiction Demystified. So, Let's start.
Creative Nonfiction is about writing that is based on true events, people, places, and facts. It is a vast category and has sub-genres: it could be factual, like a scientific paper; it could also be creative, like a personal essay. The elements of Creative Nonfiction are mostly the same in Fiction. These also have a Plot, Character, Setting, Point of View, etc.
In Creative Nonfiction Plot is where the true events happened, It is a string of events. But here in Creative Nonfiction a Plot also has an element scope, sequence, and pacing. The scope is a boundary of the plot. Where and when does the story begin and end. A Sequence pertains to the order of the event it will determine the reader's experience, it also has Traditional forms for a narrative sequence but this is not only the option because we also have; Freytag's Pyramid - you can browse the information at this link (https://ayemreyzel13.tumblr.com/post/655309326472364032/what-comes-to-your-mind-when-you-hear-literary). In media res - the story starts right in the middle of the action. this is an exciting way to grab the readers’ attention. A Non-linear narrative - is a series of flashbacks or vignettes and it happened back and forth in the sequence of nonfiction. Pacing is the flow of your story. It refers to how quickly a reader gets on through your story.
Characters are making a story alive, therefore, this is nonfiction so humans, the environment, or animals can be a character. A characterization pertains to the development of characters in actions, descriptions, or dialogue. Characterization can be performed in two ways are Directly and Indirectly. A Point of View In nonfiction, it is just the narrative's point of view and the emotions associated with it. It is also has a Tone that simply defined how the author feels and mood it is referred to as the emotion that the readers felt. The angle refers to the standpoint where the narrative is being told. The Setting is the place where the story takes place and the Atmosphere is like the mood of the story. A Symbol is used by a writer to give meaning to objects or events, unlike symbolism which signifies rebirth like baptism. And lastly, Irony has 3 specific types are Verbal Irony which defines as the most common form of irony, the second one is Dramatic Irony which the audience understands something about a character's actions or events but the character does not. and the last type of irony the Situational irony which refers to when the opposite of what we expect to happen, happens. The 3 main types of irony have 2 other literary devices these two are known as Sarcasm and Satire.
Alliteration is a repetition of an initial consonant sound.
In module 3, there are 20 types of figures of speech are included. Before we start with the types of figures of speech let me share with you my understanding of the definition of figure of speech.
A figure of speech is a word or phrase that possesses a separate meaning from its literal definition. It is using figurative language that has other meanings than its normal definition. These are the 20types of Figures of Speech ( PS. This definition comes from our professor when I was a Grade 11 student, she makes us recite these 20 types of figure of speech)
Anaphora is the repetition of the same word or phrase at the beginning of successive clauses or verses.
Antithesis is a juxtaposition of contrasting ideas in balanced phrases.
Chiasmus is a verbal pattern in which the second half of an expression is balanced against the first but with parts reversed.

Assonance is identifying similarities in sound between internal vowels in neighboring words
Euphemism is the substitution of an inoffensive term for one considered offensively explicit.
Hyperbole is an extravagant statement the uses exaggerated terms for emphasis or heightened effect.
Irony is the use of words to convey the opposite of their literal meaning is contradicted by the appearance or presentation of the idea.
Litotes is a figure of speech consisting of two, unlike things that have something important in common.
Metaphor is an implied comparison between two, unlike things that have something important in common.
Metonymy is when one word or phrase is substituted got another with which it is closely associated.
Onomatopoeia is the formation or use of words that imitate the sounds associated with the actions they refer to.
Oxymoron is a figure of speech in which incongruous or contradictory terms appear side by side.
Paradox is a statement that appears to contradict itself.
Personification is a figure of speech in which an inanimate object or abstraction is endowed with human qualities or abilities.
Pun plays on words, sometimes on different senses of the same word, and sometimes on the similar sense or sound of different words.
Simile is a stated comparison between two fundamentally dissimilar things that have certain qualities in common.
Synecdoche is a figure of speech in which a part is used to represent the whole.
Understatement is a figure of speech in which a writer or a speaker deliberately makes a situation seem less important or serious than it is.
We're done with the 20 types of Figures of speech, so let's discuss the last part of Module 3 the J. Dialogue and K. Scene. J dialogue is referred to the communication between characters in the narrative. It is also dependent on relationships between characters, and this, in turn, can influence the tone of voice. And lastly, the K Scene is about the plot and in any form of literature, is made up of scenes. It is usually, defined by having a single setting and a certain set of characters.
So we're done with this module! I hope that it helps you to enhance your knowledge about this.

What comes to your mind when you hear Literary Elements? Based on the knowledge that I gain when the reporters discuss this topic, Literary Elements is a writing technique to tells us the story more creatively. So, let's start!
The First part is the Elements of Fiction, It has 6 parts namely as Character, Setting, Plot, Conflict, Point of view, and theme.
I learned that Character is a type of any person, animal, or figure represented in a literary work. characters are the one who keeps the story alive. Can be anything such as; animals, a person dead or alive, things, nature, aliens, anything that you can imagine. when we go deeper we will see that there are many types of characters such as the Protagonist which is the main character in the story. The antagonist is a character who provides the story's conflict by creating an obstacle for a story. The Dynamic is a character who learns a lesson or changes as a person (either for better or for worse). A Static Character is a type of character who remains largely the same throughout the storyline. Their environment may change, but they retain the same personality and outlook as they had at the beginning of the story. A Round Character is a complex character whose personality, motives, and other features are fully delineated by the author. It also has many different qualities. He or she may even contradictory. A Flat Character is also characterized by only one or two traits.
The Setting of a story can change throughout the plot. The environment includes geographical location such as beach or mountains, the climate and weather, and the social or cultural aspects such as a school, theatre, meeting, club, etc. It is answering the questions like "when and where"
The Plot is the flow or order of a story of fiction. Writers follow the instructions of Freytag's Pyramid which contains Exposition, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action, Denouement, or Resolution.
Conflict is the most interesting part of a story in fiction, it is added to obtain tension and move the narrative ahead. You will feel different kinds of emotions because of the tension.
Point of View is the viewpoint from which something or someone is viewed/observed in a story. There are three forms of point of view. First Person Point of View where the main protagonist's story is being told and uses pronounce such as I, we, my, and me. In the Second Person Point of View, the reader is either the Protagonist or a Character in the story, and the events are happening to them. and Lastly, the Third Person Point of View is portraying "someone else", the narrator is not the character in the story nor in the story itself.
The last part of the Elements of Fictions is a Theme which is the central idea or ideas explored in the story. The second part is about the Elements of Poetry. I learned that Elements of Poetry just come with the Rhyme it is the sound and pronunciation, that can be found mostly at the end of every line. A Rhyme Scheme is the repeating pattern of similar sounds. And Rhythm is the beat and pace of a poem. and finally, The third part is The Elements of Drama which taught me that drama is not only a Drama, it is more than you think because Drama also has elements such as Dialogue, Venue, Costumes, Set Design, and Music.
To summarize my understanding of this module, it helps me to enhance my knowledge about the literary elements that I know I can use in my future because I'm interested in Drama and I also love writing a Tagalog poem and writing a story.

When I read module 1, I learned that Literature is simply defined as an "art of words". It is also a reflection of humanity and helps us to understand each other. Literature helps us to enhance our expression and our form of writing.
Literature has 4 major parts of literary genres. These 4 major parts are Drama, Fiction, Nonfiction, and Poetry.
Drama is a part of the four literary genres that are performed on stage, in film, or front of many people. It is also considered a unique and distinctive genre of literature. Based on the module that I read last time, there are four distinct types of drama. A Comedy is a type of drama that has an intention to make the audience laughed by sharing their own experience and sometimes is based on real life. A Tragedy is a type of drama that will give you so much pain because of the suffering of the characters and also the death of the characters. This type of drama has a rare happy ending. A Melodrama is a dramatic piece that has exaggerated characters and it is also has intended to appeal to the emotion of the audience. And lastly, a Musical Drama is a story that combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting, and dance.
Fiction - Based on my understanding, fiction refers to a literary work that comes from the author's imagination. It has 14 different forms. A Literary Fiction pertains to literary works with artistic value and literary merit. A mystery is solved by detectives who solve the case using a few hints. A thriller has a mysterious and suspenseful plot. Horror creates a horrifying scene and has a theme of death, demons, evil spirits, the afterlife, and even dread itself are among the topic. Historical fiction is a literary genre that transports readers to another time and places the story takes place in the past. Romance is about relationships and romantic love between two people. Western has a common character like cowboys, outlaws, and settlers of the American Old West. A bildungsroman highlights the transition of the character from youth into adulthood. Speculative fiction can be explored in infinite possibilities beyond the human imagination. Science Fiction focuses on time travel, space exploration, and societies of the future. Fantasy includes fictional characters and settings, as well as mythology and folklore themes, and can appeal to any age. Dystopian fiction depicts a world that is worse than our own. Magical realism portrays a real-world with added magical elements. Realist literature shows a universe that is quite close to ours, with all of the elements created as faithfully as possible, just as they do in real life. Fiction has many subgenres so I'll give some examples, these are; short story, novel, myth, legend, and fable.
Nonfiction is a true-to-life story, it is based on true events, facts, but written creatively, they are making it as enjoyable to read as fiction. The genre of literary nonfiction, also known as creative nonfiction, is broad enough to include diaries/journals, memoirs, and speeches. A Diaries and journals both contain records of experiences by their writer. A memoir is an author’s narrative of his or her experiences, highlight what the writer has witnessed, and talks about how one remembers one's own life. And lastly, Speeches defines as the communication or expression of thoughts in spoken words.
When I read Poetry, I learned that poetry is sharing of experiences, telling of a story, or the expression of feelings or ideas through the use of language in a specific way. Poetry has two types of broad approaches that we can use, the first one is a Narrative poem, which tells a story with an orientation, complication, crisis, and so on; and the second one is the lyric poem which conveys an experience, or ideas, thoughts or feelings about a subject without necessarily having ‘something happens.’ There are so many types of poetic forms. These are the Acrostic, Ballad, Chant, Cinquain, Comic Verse, Diamante, Elegy, Epic, Epigram, Epitaph, Free Verse, Haiku, Light Verse, Limerick, Lyric, Narrative, Nonsense Verse, Nursery Rhyme, Ode, Riddle, Song Lyric, Sonnet, Tanka, and Villanelle.
So, because of this topic, I gained a lot of knowledge, and it helps me more to understand the literary genres. I thought it was a short meaning but, when I go deeper I was amazed because this is so interesting even it can consume more time when you read. But it is worth it.
