So... I was wrong

I am in no way, shape or form a MCYT blog, BUT that last Tommy stream got me thinking of theories and I had to write them down.

SPOILERS FOR TOMMY’S NEWEST STREAM

Dream had to kill Tommy to escape the prison; it probably won’t be revealed for a little while, but for whatever reason, Tommy is going to be needed for something happening on the server (E.G needed to stop the egg, since he was unaffected by it). That is incentive for Tubbo, Ranboo, or someone else to have Dream let out of the prison to use the resurrection book to bring him back.

Where is Tommy you may ask? After having his last life taken by a potato, I reckon he’s with Schlatt and Wilbur in the ‘Inbetween’ (seen on Tales of The SMP). If he’s not there, I’m 80% certain Wilbur and Schlatt will be, because the server tried to resurrect them before. This may have pulled them into the ‘Inbetween’

Back to Dream. He gets out on the condition Dream goes back in after resurrecting Tommy. He resurrects Tommy, they get rid of the egg etc etc. But of course; that’s been his plan all along.

Which leads me to believe that BadBoyHalo, or someone else under the influence of the Egg, made the explosions happen that trapped Tommy in the prison.

But Technoblade still owes Dream a favour, right?

In the midst of the chaos of the Egg, Dream will have Technoblade help him escape.

Of course, this doesn’t come without consequences. Ranboo (and possibly also Phil) won’t be very happy that Techno helped Dream, the guy that killed Tommy, escape. Techno loses the only friends he has on the server.

Meaning Techno goes against the Syndicate. He helps a political figure like Dream, which is the worst thing someone could ask him to do. And he will hate himself for it.

Which is a perfect set-up for a new season; Tommy (and perhaps the other two) are back, Techno is on his own, the Egg is gone, and Dream is nowhere to be found

And the best part?

Karl’s character knows all of this is going to happen.

He’s a time traveller with a memory problem. He might not have all the facts down, but I think there is a reason he wanted to start a new country far away from the egg. He knows shit is about to go down. And maybe that’s exactly where Dream goes; to be with George and Sapnap again.

ALSO; where did Schlatt get the resurrection book in the first place? Maybe Karl’s library in L’Manburg???

EDITED:

Definite guilt storyline coming with Sam, who could’ve prevented Tommy’s death. Might even be inclined to help bring him back by releasing Dream (which I know is a stretch, so maybe he losens the security and turns a blind eye to some visitors)

Also; who is it that wants to help Karl remember (mysterious books left behind in the Inbetween)?

A theory for this would be Dream himself, trying to get a time traveller on his side (perhaps to arrive at the exact right moment Dream needs him)

Another theory would be someone from Kinoko Kingdom, as Karl is building a library there.

The third theory would be Karl himself. He writes diaries for himself to remember the adventures and people he meets along the way, so it’s plausable he is the one writing the messages to himself

ALSO, and this is something I saw pointed out on Twitter; Karl’s new Tales stream tonight is set in a Haunted Mansion with two new actors, set in the near future and ‘very relevant to current lore’. Perhaps Tommy and Wilbur? Which explains why the poster hasn’t been released yet; he had to wait for Tommy to kick the bucket

(Or maybe Philza is using his ghost skin finally but I’m not emotionally prepared for that)

(Or Philza is aboout to see both Tommy and Wilbur as ghosts and make everyone cry)

In conclusion; I don’t think Tommy is gone forever. Logistically, they need Tommy to keep bringing in viewers. Although his last two streams have been short, he brought in a good 500k viewers on his second to last one. I do think it would be more effective to have him dead and gone, because this will break away from ‘the good guys always win’ trope that the script has been sticking to recently. I think Tommy’s death is to allow Tommy to focus on other projects/college for a little while, as well as giving Ranboo his space to be the next ‘main character’. But, he’ll be back

As a Harry Potter fanfiction writer and a queer woman, I’d just like to clarify that I wholeheartedly do NOT support JK Rowling or any of her views towards communities that have been harmed/continue to be harmed by her faliure to include diversity in her books/her continued statements and actions.

In terms of my own writing, I will most definitely be straying from the lackluster canon storyline by including more diversity and eliminating harmful racist and sexist stereotypes in the story. I may not always do this correctly or perfectly, so if you are one of my readers; please inform me if I don’t do so and I will remedy it by rewriting relevant parts in the story.
