First of all, thanks for the new chapter. You know I love your story.

Second, I giggled in my bed at 5am when I pictured Alastor realizing he would've ended up with a lot more than a few busted ribs if Archie had managed to connect.

Don't get me wrong, I love the extra interactions we're getting between more than just Alastor and Charlie. That's something I notice in other works sometimes. The authors tend to monopolize the scenes and interactions to just the two of them, which isn't wrong if that's how you've constructed your story from the beginning. But they tend to include other characters from the get go, only to not use them.

But at the same time... MAN it's a little bit of a torture to wait for the next scenes with them!!! Especially because I can not wait to see what you're gonna do with the "mending scars" scene and because I am really REALLY giddy to see what you're gonna do when the storms come. You've been bringing them up in past chapters. I know you're cooking something.... sneaky mcgee 😉

But hey, I know that you have to exercise patience if you want beautiful quality. It doesn't mean I keep hoping to see another email alert soon pop up on my phone every other week though... LOL

Aw, thank you so much. :D I always love it when people say how much fun they're having with my work. That's one of the main reason why I write, to provide a bit of fun and a brief reprieve for other people, if only for a little while, so readers being just as invested in my work as I am, if not even more so, is always a joy for me.

Sometimes, I wonder if my readers know my stories even better than I do. XD Y'all have probably reread them more than I have, in any case.

You're also quite correct about Alastor being as lucky as he was that he was able to evade all of the attempts Archie threw at him during their little sparring match. Had he managed to connect, it's not a stretch to say that Alastor would've, at the very least, been sent flying across his yard.

Furthermore, I'm in full agreement with you that bringing characters into a story, only to not then use them, is a serious waste of both the characters themselves as well as the interactions and situations that could occur because of them just being present. Life doesn't solely revolve around just two people, or in this case, two characters, after all, so having a vast range of personalities present in a story helps flesh out the focus characters into something more tangible and real, for no one gets along with everyone and who gets along with who tends to be more of a reflection on the focus character's personality more than anything else.

Plus, writing for a bunch of different characters is way more fun for me, so that's why I like including them too, I suppose. XD I have to keep it fresh.

As for the other ask that you sent me shortly after this one, (thank you for putting it in two posts, by the way, that was very helpful) due to where the story is currently, I am unable to answer that inquiry at this time. So, tell you what I'll do. I'll keep ahold of it in my inbox until such time as I can answer it, and then as soon as the story progresses to a point that I am able to, I'll address it.

It might be a while, though.

I'm not even close to the halfway point of the first book yet, so I can't give a definitive timetable on when that may be.
