Burnet County Courthouse, 1937 - Described as the “pride and joy” of the county - This “modern” courthouse was (and is) a beautiful work of art. It’s the third courthouse that’s stood in the county.

The beautiful Dallas Museum of Natural History in Fair Park, ft. a couple of my fave dioramas. Legend has it that Teddy Roosevelt killed that bear. The Ivory-billed woodpecker is now extinct. This museum and its exhibits hold a special place in my heart. I volunteered in the paleo lab in the basement of the building and often at the science place next door. It’s beautiful and soothing to me.
