I drew Wyldfyre digitally for the first time. I was surprised I never did that before. Anyway I love these two. I’m kinda sad you can’t see all of Kai’s hair tho. In DR I draw him with a really long ponytail. During his time alone he didn’t cut it and it just kinda stuck afterwards.

I’m not sure if it’s possible to be a fan of TMNT and not have a specific version of a turtle that you get especially feral over. Like, you might go feral over all turtles, but this one in particular is the one you have clamped between your teeth, shaking and tearing into it like a vicious dog because you love them that much.

Sure, you might like all turtles, and you might like all Donnies, but 2003 Donatello just hits different.

Lore dump for Tao and their family!

Taka and Yoko, their parents, have a tragic love story. Yokos family never approved of Taka. Yoko comes from a wealthy family and Taka grew up poor. The cloaking brooch business was at an all time low during his childhood.

Despite their differences they became friends. Yoko loved spending time with Taka and his family. The small family of three always welcomed her with open arms. She felt more at home and loved there.

Yoko was actually the one to propose. Taka didn’t want to make her choose. He knew asking her to marry him would lead to her having to choose between him and her family. He didn’t want to put her through that. Yoko made her choice years ago when she started dating Taka. It was an easy one.

Yoko sometimes wonders if she made the right choice. But all that was washed away when her precious baby boy entered their lives. Holding Tao, she knew this was the right choice, seeing Taka and their boy that looks so much like him was the icing on top.

While Taka worked in the shop making cloaking brooches and other jewelry, Yoko earned her money by singing and dancing. She performed on the big stage but she also gave classes.

Yoko was overjoyed when she was pregnant for a second time. But things didn’t turn out as well. Yoko had a difficult pregnancy and grew weaker each day. She made a choice. One she wouldn’t regret. Her baby girl was already so big when the doctors told her she had to make a choice. Yoko loves her, Yue, so much already. Yoko was only sad she couldn’t see her babies grow up into the amazing people she knew they would be.

Yoko passed away two weeks after Yue was born. The doctors say it’s a miracle that both survived. Yue was born prematurely and Yoko was at the end of her strength. When the doctors told them Yue would survive, Yoko was at peace and passed away later that night. The nurses say she was smiling.

Taka and Tao took it hard. They knew what was coming but it hurt nonetheless. Taka put all his grieve into raising Yue while Tao let it out in his own ways, making brooches and jewelry as well as singing. Singing always makes him feel closer to Yoko, even today.

Eventually Tao and Taka need to have a talk. Yoko was always someone who prided herself in communicating well. After she passes the two weren’t the best at it. Tao wanted to but Taka couldn’t. It led to Tao bearing their father and bullying him into opening up. Taka didn’t share everything, some things Tao should never know, but it brought the two closer.

As time goes on Taka comes to a realization. As much as Tao looks like him, he’s his mothers son. They take so much after her. While Yue, despite looking like a carbon copy of Yoko, takes after Taka, just a younger more carefree version of himself.

Tao lost his arm protecting Yue but from what? It’s a giant mystic malfunction. No one really what exactly happened. Yue, a prodigy with too much mystic in her small body, was playing around when something went horribly wrong. Tao, 13 at the time, acted fast enough and managed to safe Yue but their arm got mangled beyond repair. They sustained a few other injuries, like the missing piece of their ear, most healed well.

Draxum was close by and helped where he could, remember he hates humans he’d help an injured Yokai child. Without him Tao would have died on the spot. Tao and his family are forever grateful, despite Draxums horrible reputation.

Tao healed and when he was 15 got into helping the development of new mystic powered prosthetics. Taos lightning/electricity based powers help development a lot.

Yue was trained by Draxum for roughly a year and a half before he had a breakthrough in his research. He promised to help her after again. He didn’t keep the promise until way later.

Taka and Draxum actually became good friends in that time.

During the show the three are concerned for Draxum first because his lap blows up, then becomes he’s a wanted man. Draxum was the first one to ship Tao and Raph - Draxum likes Tao and being the turtles mom now means he can he Taos mother-in-law.

After they meet again, Yue also gets to have lessons with Draxum again. Often its lessons with Mikey. Two kids with too much mystic in too young and small bodies. They are great friends even if Yue is a few years younger than Mikey. New baby sister acquired.

To the turtles (aside from Raph) Taka became an uncle, Yue is their baby sister and Tao is their new big brother. Yue is a little to Raph too tho.

I caved and finally drew something quick.

I stumbled across @voidwitchboots blog and they made me fall in love with the concept of giant Rise Turtles. I had to draw Raph with Tao because that would be so cute. Tao was already Raph’s little kitty and now the term is a lot more literal than before. No one else would dare call Tao tiny or little, he’s like 7 feet himself. They are tall just not that tall.

Fun Fact when Tao and Raph met they were the same height. That changed pretty quickly after. In this one just a lot more extreme than normally.

Tao was there for the whole journey and supported Raph while he got used to everything. Raph was a little afraid of hurting Tao one day, but Tao just laughed at the idea of Raph hurting them. No matter if Raph is 6, 50 or 100 feet tall he'll always be the same gentle person Tao loves.

Now if I were to add their kids Raph would be even more terrified. All three are adopted but they only had their oldest as a baby and she was tiny. Even compared to Tao she is tiny. The other two were a little older when they joined their family (3 and 12 respectively) still tiny but bigger than a baby.

I went down a ATLA rabbit hole. I do that every once in a while and decided to redraw one of the first drawings I made on my iPad, it just so happened to be of Zuko. The original (under the cut) is from Juli 2020, 5 years ago. Originally I only drew Book 3 Zuko with Druk, I just felt like adding Fire Lord Zuko with a slightly longer noodle.

Might as well add the drawings without the fire in the front too.

Jonatello Week Day 5 - Switcheroo

My first time drawing a mutated version of Casey and I felt like he'd be a raccoon. I tried to make him still look like Casey. I hope I managed to do that.

If you had asked Donnie a year ago if he would ever date a mutant he’d laughed in your face claiming such things don’t exist. Today? He’d try lying to you to safe face and to not reveal the existence of the raccoon mutant he fell in love with. 

Meeting Casey was something else, falling for him however was a fever dream. Being the curious teen he was, Donnie wanted to know more about the mutant that had wiggled his way into his life. Even if he eventually had to reveal Casey’s existence to his family. What was he supposed to do?! Casey was sick and Donnie couldn’t leave him in his hiding place with just an alien and another mutant! Angel, Casey’s sister she’s a ferret mutant and April, she is part alien. 

With Donnie vouching for them, they were allowed to stay in the Hamato family’s home. Donnie made it his highest priority to nurse Casey back to health. His family started calling him a doting boyfriend. Looking back, that should have been the first hint he wanted more with Casey. 

When Casey first met Donnie he was mesmerized by the human. Casey loved watching humans, they were interesting but never once had he seen a human as pretty as Donnie, messy hair and dirty clothes and all. The more he got to know Donnie the less he wanted to know about humans as a whole but about Donnie and Donnie alone. His sister and April made fun of him; Casey didn’t mind. 

Casey never minded his mutation but when he fell for Donnie, for the first time in his life he didn’t like his mutation. For the first time he wanted to be human. Only so he could be with Donnie more but all that changed when Casey had gotten sick. The Hamato family was a kind and loving family that after an explanation let all three of them stay, even after Casey was better. His favorite part what that he got to see Donnie every day, not just twice a week or so!

The only thing that could make it all better was if Casey could go and kiss Donnie. If only Casey knew the feeling was mutual.

Jonatello Week Day 4 - Corny Tropes

The only non 2012 post is for MM and with my own version of Casey. You can read more about him on my ao3 and there's a few drawings if him somewhere on my blog.

Donnie would have never thought that he would end up in one of the worst tropes he could imagine. It took him too long to realize that too. He was the smartest person in this school! And it took him 3 months into their relationship to that he and Casey were a god damned corny trope. 

Casey was part of the hokey team, a jock if you will. Donnie on the other hand, despite being a mutant turtle, was the smartest person in this school and a certified geek, a nerd to put it simply! 

Nerd x Jock

Of all the tropes the one trope that Donnie thought was simply unrealistic! A jock and a nerd? Not the most likely. Yet here he was, dating a jock and happy about it. Very happy. 

Now you’re wondering what it took for Donnie to understand it aren’t you? Rather easy really. While Donnie knew Casey was on the hockey team since they met, it didn’t really click. It only clicked when they were walking home from a date and Donnie tripped and twisted his ankle. Usually, Donnie would take ride it out until he was home and Mikey could take a look at it. 

Casey had other plans. With one swift motion, the teen picked up Donnie bridal style. Donnie instinctively wrapped his arms around Casey’s neck. 

“Cute.“, Casey said curled his arms around his turtle boyfriend.

Donnie blushed and hid his face in Casey’s neck, not wanting to be seen this flustered. 

Casey would never admit it, but despite being a sporty guy, he needed to up his game to lift Donnie like this. He started a whole new training routine just to build more muscle in his arms. He never saw the need to train his arms, he played hocked, that relies on his legs. But he’d be damned if he couldn’t pick up his boyfriend!

Jonatello Week Day 3 - Fixer Upper

Donnie thinks Casey gets hurt too much but Casey doesn't mind the injuries all that much.

Going on missions always come with the risk of getting hurt. Especially someone like Casey. He was as reckless as ever and it was rare that he left the mission without a single scrape. Donnie liked those days. 

But today wasn’t one of those. Donnie dragged the taller to his lab to take care of his minor injuries. At least they weren’t severe and would heal fast.

“It’s not that big of a deal, Donnie.”, Casey said, “I’m fine.”

“You’re really not.”, said Donnie as he cleaned the cut on Casey’s nose, “You’re lucky you didn’t break your nose.

“I already broke it like five times.”

“That’s exactly the problem.”

As much as Casey liked to complain about being patched up, he loved the attention from the pretty turtle, he boyfriend. 

As Donnie finished up he paused, his hands on the human’s face cupping his cheeks. 

“I don’t like doing this.”, Donnie admitted. 

“You don’t have to do it.”, Casey pouted. 

“It’s not taking care of you. That I don’t mind. I don’t like you getting hurt. I don’t like that you’re involved in all of this. You could have a normal life.”

Casey reached up and pulled Donnie’s face closer, their foreheads touching. 

“I don’t want normal life. I want this one.”

Casey gently placed a soft kiss on Donnie’s lips. 

Donnie leaned his head against Casey’s shoulder. He knew Casey enjoyed this weird and dangerous life he got himself into and while Donnie hated seeing Casey get hurt, he loved that Casey came into his life and decided it was worth staying around. He never wanted to imagine a life without him again. Never again. 

Casey rested his head against Donnie’s, his arms wrapped around the turtle’s waist. As long as he could stay with Donnie he’d go through hell and back. Donnie was worth the risks and dangers of his life.

Now I have the urge to create my own AU for something like this. I don’t know why but I’d swap Donnie and Leo. I can’t even explain why, it’s just a gut feeling. Then again this also makes sense.

I remembered there were four lion turtles.

AU where the Fire Nation fucked up the spiritual balance so badly that it made Korra look tame. The Gaang have to go to the four lion turtles and ask them to help rebalance the elements.

The "Chosen" are the benders of each element. They're kind of like their children. It's easy to see why Donnie, being the Air Spirit, is pretty salty towards humans and Aang in general. The genocide was devastating.

Mikey probably has it worse since his element is associated with so much death and destruction when it should be energy and life which is what he's all about.

Leo is game to help and would love to have done more but knows he's not allowed.

Raph just feels terrible that Aang is so young.

I didn't plan on continuing this it honestly was another excuse to draw colossal turtles.

Though I do have a funny bit I might do a little comic for.

Jonatello Week Day 1 - Warming Up

It is here! I have prepared four drawing and snippets for the event and I'm excited to see what everyone has created. These two deserve the world and they deserve to be kissing each other.

Deciding to spent the winter at April’s farmhouse was the best idea they had in a while. The snow was nicer than the one in the city, cleaner and there was more of it. Donnie and his brothers may be turtles, but they didn’t need to sleep thought the cold months, thanks to their mutation, they just got a little more sluggish and slept a bit more. Casey didn’t mind that. Being human and having a higher body temperature because of that made Donnie, his genius boyfriend, clingier. Casey loved a clingy Donnie. 

They had a routine by now. They went over their day doing whatever they had planned, towards the evening they worked a little in the barn, Donnie had installed a heather and they fixed the rotten wood ages ago. After dinner they watched a movie or played a game with everyone else. Casey preferred a movie night. Donnie would have a cup of coffee while Casey had some hot chocolate or the occasional coffee, he liked the sweet chocolate a lot more, all while they were bundled together in a few blankets and more focused on each other than whatever low rated movie Mikey wanted to watch. 

What was all the better was that Donnie liked to wear Casey’s sweaters. After they started dating and Donnie stole on of Casey’s larger sweaters, Casey made it a point to own more oversized shirts and sweater just so Donnie could fit them over his shell. Could he have bought them for Donnie? Sure, did Casey like that Donnie was in his sweater? Obviously. 

Donnie knew Casey had bought the sweaters for him but he wouldn’t dream of mentioning it to Casey. It saw how much Casey smiled whenever he wore one. Donnie liked the sweaters as is but seeing Casey smile like the lovable moron he is just because he wore his shirt made Donnie like it even more.

I SAW YOUR NEW FANFIC! First I love the idea of rottmnt x kdh (kpop demon hunters and it's one of my favs) I have also had this idea and then one of my fav ao3 fanfic writer makes an fanfic of it? WHAT A GREAT MONTH-

(I can't really wait to see more of it!! I also started making an art of it lmaoo, and me having an idea of Leo as Rumi can't get out of my head so I'm making an art of it as well too lol)

And mutant mayhem crossover with it?? YESS THE NEED (I need more crossover of mutant mayhem and rise reall baddd)

I’m excited that people seem to like my stupid idea. I had a somewhat similar idea for ages but KPDH, well the Saja Boys songs really, was the final push. And with it being KPop it needed to be a MM crossover.

I have the urge to made a sequel but with the Huntr/x songs and maybe a different iteration. With Hubtr/x I’d say April as Rumi, Cassandra as Mira and either Sunita or CJ as Zoey. If I want an all girl group I’ll use Sunita if I want the siblings I use CJ.

Feel free to drop any ideas you have for the Mad Dogs being idols. 🤭

Soda Pop (Chapter 1) is out

This is probably the stupidest Crossover idea I’ve had until now.

It’s MM and literally any other version of TMNT. I’ll use Rise but you can make this work with every other version. We just need our KPop fan Donnie.

Basically the Rise boys end up in MM with brooches (or really good disguises) and they have like an artifact that got them stuck there. It need to be fueled and to fuel it they need the joy if people.

They go on and become an Idol group - they’re like the Saja boys okay. They have Soda Pop that just blows up and they get pretty far in charging the artifact but they need more which is when your Idol drops and they have a show without their brooches.

Everyone thinks it’s just homage to the turtles that saved the world. MM Donnie is hyped because he’s a fan now and his bias (Rise Donnie) is decked out in purple during your Idol.

This could work as a random one shot. 😭

Pride Month is almost over and of course I need to add Naruto and Neji. I love that they got married and had two kids. I'm not delusional.

Naruto doesn’t remember when Neji became a sort of anchor to him. Naruto’s emotions, especially anger, could easily turn unpleasant. Often Naruto felt like he couldn’t allow himself to be angry. Not with the nine tails inside him. The fox could use his anger against Naruto and hurt his friends and the fox knew how to anger Naruto more. 

One day on a mission, Naruto and Neji were just supposed to deliver an important message to Gaara, they were ambushed and while they were fighting the asshole kept taunting them. Naruto doesn’t even remember what he said to get Naruto this angry. But the nine tails go a hold of Naruto again. 

The boiling anger in his heart made Naruto afraid. Neji was with him. What if Naruto hurts Neji like he had hurt others before. His thought spiral further and further. Only to feel a pair of gentle hands on his cheeks. Neji. That’s all it took for Naruto to come back. He opened his eyes and was met with the pretty lavender of Neji’s eyes. He looked at the younger worried, but when the bright blue eyes met his, he looked relieved. Naruto was back. 

“Thank you.”, Naruto said, his voice a little rough. 

“Always.”, Neji smiled at Naruto. That smile was one of Naruto’s favorite things. 

Getting to Suna can wait a little longer. Naruto is sure Gaara won’t mind if they’re a little late. 

After the war, after befriending Kurama, Naruto has to ask. 

“Why did you tone it down when Neji was with me?”, he asked one day. 

“Your anger didn’t stay with him around.”, Kurama simply said. 

“Really?”

“Your mother was the same with your father.” You remind me of them, was left unsaid. 

Naruto knew that already. His mother may have told him to find someone like her, but turns out, he needed someone who was more like his father. And Neji was just that someone. Naruto knows his parents would approve of them. Now he just has to ask Neji out!
