What the 'types of witch' really mean: Green Witch

you're a lover of animals. herbs grow through your kitchen tiles. you enjoy walks in nature. you enjoy breathing it in, closing your eyes an listening to the birds. spirit is all around you and you know it. every night you go out to feed the cat that yowls at your door until 3am if you don't give it some of your smoked mackerel. you might be vegetarian. or you're sometimes vegetarian. when you vegetarian the cat yowls all night and looks at you through the kitchen window with an unforgiving gaze. the cat has a vibe like it knows more than it lets on so you let it.

Sea Witch

you love the ocean like you love your first lover, nostalgically and dreamily. they call to you several times a year and you allow yourself brief moments of ecstasy thinking about how they left you feeling alive with just a touch. you're pretty sure you drowned on a family holiday and everything since has felt surreal. you collect seawater in jars and your windowsill is delicately decorated with drying seaweed. you're not sure how you'll use it but it'll probably come to you next time you dream of the ocean. your only memories of the summer you swear you drowned are of the way the ghost of the ice cream you ate was overtaken by the never-ending saltiness.

Eclectic Witch

you picked up your first witchcraft book at aged 8 but your overbearing religious family told you it was nonsense. you forgot all about it. the next time it came to you, you had the space to hide it next to your pillow and read it by moonlight or torchlight under the summer sheets. there was a ghost that haunted you in childhood. it scared you every night and denying it's existence made it worse. you got rid of it a long time ago now but sometimes you still doubt yourself when your door creaks in a breeze. you're an avid researcher. you like knowing facts before you make your mind up. you don't like dismissing any one thing because 'that's not your type of witch craft.' you probably have ADHD.

Nothing makes me feel more like a wild feral beast than ripping open packages and plastic wrapped furniture with my bare hands. Having the time of my life carving through these boxes. I feel like I'm ripping apart a carcass with my claws and fangs. Peak zoo animal enrichment scenario.
