daily diary entry 1 - march 17th, 2025

hello internet! today is my first daily diary, which i've decided to start in order to process my emotions and put my thoughts into something productive. as i get more skilled with the talents i'd like to hone, i'll start including snippets of translations or recipes.

today was actually my first nice day in a while. as of recent i’ve been struggling with my mental health and, save for a few spare moments of dysmorphia, i was pretty happy today. in the morning i had some trouble waking and found myself napping until around 9:30, then i finally felt refreshed enough to go along with my usual activity. i spent a good hour or so reading the book i got yesterday, The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath (rest in peace), after getting ready for the rest of the day, and had to shut it halfway through the book out of anger, at i think chapter 8.

i also got another book yesterday, The Apothecary Diaries by Natsu Hyuuga, in order to read something easier on my mental state after the putting down The Bell Jar for a bit.

the real highlight of my day was learning that a good friend of mine, who is a high school senior, got an opportunity to submit an essay to be considered for a full ride scholarship to (super famous art school that i will not name here)! she was accepted into this school with a bit of scholarship and aid, but she hopes that she can get this scholarship in order to pay for her tuition better and not get years of debt on her back. as a person who loves to read and write, and has edited for her papers in the past, i offered to help her out with this and she accepted, which excited me a lot!!

her mind is very brilliant and i’m so glad i get to be her friend, and she’s also a very talented artist who deserves success. i can’t wait to see what she writes and help her in the process, especially because the prompt is so thoughtful.

i went to a cafe for the later half of the day and drew a bit, and then i decided to text with my older cousin after doing my intro post on here (that i’ve been putting off for two days) and i couldn’t be more happy with that decision. she’s always been a really great person and it’s nice to catch up with her, especially because she has some nice things to tell me about.

that’s how today went for me! i’ll (hopefully remember to) post another entry tomorrow!! toodles 🤎

i'm a 19 year old genderfluid lesbian and i go by he/she/they pronouns. i'm currently (as of march 17th, 2025) unemployed and working on hobbies and improving my life. (quick side note: i do this because i want to)

my hobbies include html/css, graphic design, art both digital and traditional, linguistics, and history. i really want to get into working out and cooking, and although i bake sometimes my cooking is kinda... eh.
