Top 5 of 2013

There were many amazing games that were released in 2013. Here are 5 of my favorites.
5. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
With 2013 being the year of Luigi a new spin on Luigi's Mansion was a perfect idea from Nintendo. Thus Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon was released in March 2013 for the 3DS. The premise of the game is to collect the dark moon shards that have been scattered over many mansions in "Evershade Valley". This game was fun but very repetitive, as you are doing the same thing in every mansion. Which is collecting 6 shards. The thing that bothered me the most was the fact that once you've collected the shards professor E. Gadd calls you back to the lab and you can't search for anything else in the mansion!! I'm one of those people that want to collect everything. On the first try if possible. All that aside Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon was a very beautifully developed game with proper use of 3D effects, and was very enjoyable.
4. Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Oh a game that many people call a waste of time. A game without an end. Animal Crossing: New Leaf was released in June 2013 in North America for the 3DS. This game has no faults. (Well maybe one. That darn signing ferry operator Kapp'n!) The 3D effects on this game were not necessary and I mostly played with it off. But how can you not love a game where the seasons change before your eyes and you can become a bellionaire? A place where you are the mayor and the towns people follow your rules!
3. Rayman Legends (PC)
Absolutely beautiful. Everyone, everywhere needs to play this game. This game was first released on the Wii U. I must admit at first I was a little skeptical at how things would work. Seeing as this game made perfect use of the Wii U gamepad. But have no fear the game was still as amazing as it could be. With challenge modes that ranked world scores and stunning musical levels this game did not disappoint. The Ubisoft servers were another story.
2. Don't Starve
A game where all you have to do is survive. There are no hints. And everything is a learning experience. For that reason is why I loved this game so much. Every time you play and start up a new map it is a whole different experience. And with the game developers releasing new free DLC every now and again there is always new aspects being added. Some people say that of course this is another game with no end. Trust me sooner or later there is an end. As the days progress the seasons change and the monsters get stronger. Hey if you reach that 1000 day mark, call it quits and start a new character with a new map.
1. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Nintendo Released A Link Between Worlds In November 2013. An absolute amazing flawless game. I know many people said it was lazy for Nintendo to use similar game ideas from A Link To The Past. In all honestly I didn't mind it at all. The gameplay seemed all new to me (probably because the last time I played A link to the past was about 9 years ago). Of course the game map was the same, and a few side missions were the same. Maybe the fact that I'm a die hard Legend of Zelda fan is why this was my top game of 2013. The music, the stunning game art, and the amazing use of the 3D effects all brought together to create another amazing Zelda (and Hilda) Story. All I've got to say is I still haven't finished the game because I don't want the magic to end.

I don't mean to brag but I played Super Mario World when I was about 5 or 6 years old. To be honest my sister and I would play and she was 4 years older. But I still remember completely the entire game with her. Once completed the world would transform and look all pink. Pshh gamers these days need to think a little more.
